“Best Bouquet” Bridal Shower Game

Are you the one in charge of throwing the bridal shower? Then you’re the one I want to talk to today. You may have already done the invitations and arranged for the foods. You might even have the decorations all taken care of. But, have you planned the games yet? Of course there will be games at a bridal shower! What else are you going to do for entertainment? Okay, I know a wonderful game you can play that will have all the women getting creative. And, of course, the winner of the game will win a nice prize.

To play “Best Bouquet” you’ll need some inexpensive materials. Many people play the game with things like paper plates, bathroom tissue, construction paper and other cheap supplies. The object of the game is to have the women gather around a table – with the bride-to-be absent for now – and make bouquets. You don’t make it easy on them; you don’t give them a bunch of silk or real flowers and leaves. Instead, they have to get creative and come up with a way to use the nonsensical items to make something pretty – hopefully.

Give the women a certain amount of time to finish the bouquets. Thirty minutes is the average time allowed for the game. They can all sit around and chat while they make their unusual bouquets, and when they’re finished, the mess is cleaned up and the bouquets arranged on a table.

Another way to play the “Best Bouquet” game is to ask the women to make the bouquets at home and bring them to the bridal shower. Set a time limit (hopefully, everyone will abide) and provide them with a list of supplies that are permitted. The list can be given to the guests in their invitations, if you want.

The bride-to-be arrives later (maybe she was just in her room getting dressed), and at that time she selects the bouquet she thinks looks the best. She doesn’t know who made which bouquet so the contest is fair. The maker of the chosen bouquet will be the winner of the game.

There are any number of small, inexpensive gifts you could give to the winner, including a candle, incense, bath salts, a gift card or another choice. The recipient will love the prize but all the girls will have a great time playing “Best Bouquet”!
