Sinbad — Dead or Alive?

On March 15th, I received an e-mail from my step-mother indicating that Sinbad had died from a heart attack on March 14th. Inside the email I saw an article writing about his biography. It was very sad and I was shocked of his sudden death. On March 16th, I discover yet another article stating that Wikipedia was edited by someone, and they wrote that Sinbad had died, which in truth, he was still alive. After receiving hundreds of text messages, phone calls, and emails, Sinbad rises from the dead.

Saturday I rose from the dead and then died again”, Sinbad told The Associated Press during a phone interview.

The wikepedia is a free encyclopedia, and anyone is enabled to edit it. The site has temporarily disabled the editing freedom for individuals, so that they can take care of the “vandalism”. This is much more than vandalism. Wikipedia still have not returned a phone call and email that were sent to them on Thursday. When asked if he was angry about the whole ordeal, Sinbad just laughed.

“It’s gonna be more commonplace as the Internet opens up more and more. It’s not that strange,” David Atkins, Sinbad, said in his phone interview.

Sinbad is now on the road doing stand-up comedy. Wikepedia still has not given him an apology.

I believe he deserves more than just an apology. They could get a huge law suit dropped on their lap. It’s very disappointing how these websites allow their content to be altered without reviewing it before publication. This could be just the start of a string of vandals to come and alter hundred of articles; then what are they going to do about it? They will deserve everything that they will get in the future, so they better do something now while they still have the chance.

Sinbad has played any many funny movies, such as “Jingle All The Way”, “The Firs Kid”, “House Guest”, and on shows like “All That”, from Nickelodeon; “Family Guy”; “Fresh Prince Of Belair”, and ” It’s A Different World. He’s been doing stand-up comedy since he discovered his talent while he was in the Air Force. After being discharged, he pursued a comedic career, becoming successful.

I hope he continues to do well in his career as well as in life. Wikepedia needs to change its policies and hire people to edit the content before allowing it to become published. This is something that shouldn’t have happened, and should be prevented from happening again. May Sinbad live a long and healthy life!
