Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Moisturizing Lotion Vs. Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion

I recently tried two different brands of lotion for extra dry skin. The products were Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Moisturizing Lotion and Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion. I decided to compare the two lotions and see which one performed the best. This is what I discovered.

Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion for extra dry skin can be found in many stores. The cost of this product is a bit high, in my opinion. I purchased one bottle for around six dollars. The bottle was not small but, not very large either. I got six ounces of lotion for that price. I was having a problem with extreme chapping and dry skin, from the cold weather. The statement for extra dry skin on the front of the Lubriderm lotion bottle is what made me try this product. I felt that Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion was exactly what I needed because it was specifically designed for a major dry skin problem. Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion contains minerals and nutrients, including anti-oxidants. This lotion is dermatologist recommended and this lotion is supposed to be non-greasy and not clog pores. All of that sounded very promising.

What I discovered, after trying Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion, was that while it did moisturize my skin, I did have a problem with this lotion clogging my pores and also, the moisturizing effect of this lotion did not last very long. Not as long as I wanted it to. I had to use a good bit of this product to relieve my dry skin. My skin on my hands would dry back out again and need more lotion after a few hours. This lotion also did not seem to soften my hands very much. I had a problem with Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion absorbing quickly and even when it did absorb, the effects did not last. I was disappointed with this product. It did the job but, not very well. I also thought that this lotion had a clinical smell. It was not unpleasant but, it was not pleasant either. The main ingredients in Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion are mineral oil and glycerin. I was not too thrilled with this lotion. I rate Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion three stars out of five stars. I probably will not buy this product again. I think that it is a bit too high in cost and I did not feel that I got my money’s worth from this lotion.

Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Moisturizing Lotion costs around five dollars for two four ounce bottles. I purchased this lotion online at the Puritan’s Pride web site. I was pleased with the price. This lotion has vitamin E and wheat germ oil as two of it’s main ingredients. The scent of this lotion is pleasant. When I tried Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Moisturizing Lotion, I immediately felt it absorb and start to soften, moisturize and penetrate my dry skin. This lotion quickly made my hands and face feel better. I even got my normal sheen and shiny quality back in my skin, that was a big relief, because my skin, especially on my hands, was very dry and chapped. I was very impressed with the performance of this lotion. It really moisturized and healed my skin quickly. I did not have to reapply this lotion until the next day. The moisturizing effects lasted and I consider Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Moisturizing Lotion to be a very good product.

Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Moisturizing Lotion has 6,000 I. U. of Vitamin E in each bottle. That ingredient, along with the wheat germ oil, I believe, is what made this product work so well for me. I love this lotion and feel that when I compare it’s performance with Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion, Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Moisturizing Lotion wins! The cost and great lasting moisturizing effects made this product stand out. I rate Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Moisturizing Lotion four stars out of five stars. I will be buying and using this product again. I enjoyed trying both of these products but, Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Moisturizing Lotion was the winner!
