Product Review: Tropicana Twister Soda

In the world of Soda we know what two sodas dominate, Pepsi and Coke, but it is always nice to see a new flavor or idea enter the arena. Pepsi has many spin off drinks, and even branched out into the juice industry with a product we all know as the Tropicana drinks. Now a fusion has occurred, taking the great taste of Tropicana juices and the carbonation factor of a soda and combining the two into a new soda beverage known as Tropicana Twister Soda.

It is an interesting fusion, and one that may take some getting used to. If you taste the strawberry version of the soda, you will notice a sour bit, same with the grape. These sodas are not your average grape, or strawberry tasting sodas, they have more of a kick, and taste great. You may be surprised at the overall effect of the soda at first sip, but soon will be delighted by this new drink.

A great thing that goes along with this soda is that its caffeine free. So you can have one in the morning, afternoon or at night have no side effects. They won’t keep you awake at night by any means and of course no caffeine means that kids can enjoy this soda and parents won’t be pulling their hair out later. But then again the sugar content may be a bit more then your kids can handle.

As far as nutrition goes this soda is actually no the best choice. Soda is never a good health beverage anyways, but the Tropicana Twister Soda is on the heavy side when it comes to carbs and sugars. One soda contains 190 calories, 50 grams, that’s right 50 grams of carbohydrates and 50 grams of sugar. So yes the soda may have no caffeine, but still the overabundance of cards and sugar overshadow this fact.

The product is available in a variety of flavors and comes in cans and two liter bottles, so you have options. Buy some two liters for a party, or a twelve pack for your fridge. The price is not all that bad, it cost about the same as a regular coke product, so actually that may be deterring. Your could spend four dollars on a twelve pack of Pepsi, or this new Tropicana Twister Soda, more often then not, people will reach for the Pepsi.

This new drink is a great alternative to cola flavored beverages and kids are going to love it. Tropicana Twister Soda is defiantly worth a try and who knows you may find that you really enjoy it. The health factor is a bit of an issue, but hey, it’s ok every now and again to treat yourself to something like this. Make sure and give each and every flavor a go and you may be presently surprised at the different these sodas taste form any of there mundane counterparts.
