Romantic Weekend Escapes Near Seattle

After a busy week at work, you and your significant other are in need of a romantic weekend getaway. Imagine a backdrop provided by the Cascade Mountains on one side and Puget Sound on the other and you have a romantic weekend set. The Seattle area provides some great places for a romantic getaway. Here are the top two places near Seattle for romantic weekend escapes.

Salish Lodge & Spa

The Salish Lodge & Spa offers the perfect romantic escape in Snoqualmie Falls, WA. The rushing Snoqualmie Falls and the flourishing Northwest forest provides the ideal setting for a romantic getaway. Once you step inside this luxurious resort, you become lost in the beauty of the nature that surrounds the resort and will want to stay for the lavishness of this comfortable yet classy lodge and spa. Best of all, this resort is only 30 minutes east of downtown Seattle.

At the Salish Lodge & Spa, the staff works hard to add a personal touch for each guest. If you want newly picked flowers or a chilled bottle of wine or champagne in your room awaiting your arrival, the staff will work hard to fulfill your request. Small touches will make your stay much more memorable and personal.

Each room at the Salish Lodge & Spa offers a romantic environment for each couple. Every room is equipped with a two person, over-sized whirlpool tub and a wood-burning fireplace. There are large featherbeds, made complete with goose down comforters and 16 types of pillows to choose from, that will make you want to never get out of bed.

There are different packages available to accommodate each guest’s wants and needs. The newest package is the Salish Signature package. This package combines the most requested services into one. The Salish Signature package comes with a two night stay in one of the historic guest rooms, four 50-minute spa treatments, two breakfast entrees in the main Dining Room, and a welcome bag filled with fruits, cheese, water, and Seattle’s gourmet truffles.

The Relax package is a one night stay at the resort and comes with two 50 minute spa treatments and a breakfast for two. This package would be ideal if for a Valentine’s Day escape or an anniversary night.

The Romantic Getaway is another short stay at the lodge. The package comes with a one night stay in a River-view guest room. When you purchase this package you can expect sparkling wine, rose petals, and votive candles awaiting your arrival in the room. You will also be treated to the lodge’s Famous Country Breakfast for two.

The Snowshoe for Two is the perfect package for those guests who are a little adventurous. The package includes a one night accommodation in one of the River-view guest rooms and a half-day snow shoe trip. The package also includes two “hot toddies” in the lodge’s Attic Bistro.

A stay at the Salish Lodge & Spa can be quite pricey ranging from about $510 for a classic king room to about $610 for the Snowshoe for Two package with a River-view room. In addition to these prices, you can add spa treatment packages which vary depending on the services you would like. All guests need a reservation and pets are not welcomed at the lodge, but there are local accommodations for pets.

Willows Lodge

If being pampered and visiting a winery is your idea of a romantic escape, then Willows Lodge may be your perfect escape. Willows Lodge is just a short 20 minute drive from Seattle and a short walk from some of the best wineries in the country. Willows Lodge is in Woodinville, WA and boasts of a romantic atmosphere.

Willows Lodge has 84 rooms which have been architected with a rustic look. The resort has five acres of gardens, a colossal fireplace, and a northwest atmosphere found nowhere else. Willows Lodge has a full-service spa and two of the best restaurants in the Northwest – The Herbfarm Restaurant and the Barking Frog. With all of the accommodations found at Willows Lodge, guests cannot help to feel pampered.

At the Willows Lodge, there are various packages offered. These packages range in price from $275 to $520 per night. There is a Wine & Romance Package for two which includes: lodging in a stylish room, welcome gifts to coddle and entice your senses, and an opportunity to taste wine in the Fireside Cellars. This package is $330 per night.

The Woodinville Wine Country Package costs only $275 and is worth the one night stay if you are an avid wine drinker. This package takes you on a wine tasting tour of 2 local wineries in addition to the wine tasting in Fireside Cellars at the resort. The room accommodations are in a stylish room same as the Wine & Romance Package.

Le Picnic Package is ideal if you and your significant other enjoy the outdoors. This package includes one of the nicer guest rooms and wine tasting in the Fireside Cellars. A Le Picnic is prepared for guests by the resorts Chef and packed neatly into a backpack to take along on a hike on the Burke Gilman Trail. This package also includes a wine tasting tour. This package runs for $380 a night.

Willows Lodge has a “Do Not Disturb” Special package for Valentine’s Day. This package gives you all of the necessary amenities for a special romantic escape. You will receive a $100 dining credit at the Barking Frog and a drawn bath completed with bubbles and rose petals. In addition to the bath, there is a tray provided that fits across the tub complete with whipped cream, strawberries, chocolate fondue, and a special Willows dessert. This romantic package is not complete without a chilled bottle of champagne, candles, and a romantic CD to set the atmosphere for a special night.
