Nowadays everyone is busy, and the last thing you want to do is clean. On the other hand everyone loves a nice clean house. Some of us have no choice and need to hire a professional to help keep our homes clean, But, for those of you who can’t afford this, the Periodic Table of Cleaning might be the answer.

The Periodic Table of Cleaning is a chart made to look like the periodic table of elements. It gives you easy to follow color coated instructions. It’s divided into 5 sections, Weekly Cleaning, Monthly cleaning, every 3 – 6 months, every 6 – 12 months, and Yearly Cleaning.

The first is the weekly cleaning. Needing to be reminded of the things you do every day may not seam that important to you, but having this chart can help you realize what all you still have to do in any given day. Every family may need to slightly adjust this section to fit their own needs. As is, this section includes things like cleaning toilets, dusting, and wiping down appliances.

Next is the monthly section. This is great because it includes things that you may not always remember to do. For instance, those ceiling fans that you might never remember to clean. Those are included in this section. It also includes things like cleaning upholstery and those darn stove top grates everyone hates so much. When you print this chart out, the first page has the weekly and monthly cleaning on it…I print out a new chart every month, and check off each thing I’ve done throughout the month.

The last 3 groups are the every 3- 6 month, every 6 – 12 month, and the yearly cleaning categories. Each of these categories has great tips on things around your house to clean that you may have never even thought about cleaning. These sections on the chart print out on a separate paper. I still mark off everything I’ve done on this paper, the 3-6 month category just has been marked off a couple of times. I relay love using this page, it includes things like…empty and clean cabinets, steam clean the carpets, wash the walls, cleaning the grease off of the stove vent.
