Mediatakeout Reports Sheree Whitfield Fired from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta”: Rumor or Fact?

Popular urban celebrity gossip site Mediatakeout.com has dropped a huge bomb on the reality TV world: Sheree Whitfield has been fired from the Bravo moneymaker, “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” But as nothing can be confirmed at this time, all we can do is assume that what the website purports is truth. But as this shocking rumor sinks in, we’re wondering what might prompt the network to release one of its most popular stars. First and foremost, four of the women on the show are actual wives. So let’s start with them.

Phaedra Parks is a successful lawyer and has recently embarked upon another lucrative venture: the funeral business. As unconventional as her choice seems to be, it does happen to be a very necessary one. And as the show has revealed—there exists a great deal of nobility in honoring the dead.

Anything that former supermodel Cynthia Bailey does will more than likely get attention. As such, her modeling school—The Bailey Agency, is a huge draw for Atlanta’s young and hopeful aspiring models. She’s even attracted former “America’s Next Top Model” cast-offs hoping for another shot at their dream.

Kim Zolciak, who is now officially a wife, has been able to parlay her fairytale family life into a brand new reality show entity, “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding.”

And let’s not forget NeNe Leakes. Although her rocky marriage has played out for the cameras, she’s got a lot of other things to keep her busy. Her stints on “Celebrity Apprentice” and “Glee” have made her a household name. And the feisty star doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

But even the non-wives have things going for them. As controversial as Marlo Hampton is, her back-story was simply too juicy to pass up. “Check my charges…” the statuesque socialite has proclaimed on the show. Indeed we have. And ironically, her extensive police record has been just as important to the program as her love of high-end everything.

Adding Kandi Burruss to the cast was a really smart move for Bravo. As a former member of R&B; group Xscape, she brings with her an entire fan base that will follow her every move. And lately, those moves have been ample. If she’s not writing songs for country music stars, she’s enhancing sex lives everywhere with her Bedroom Kandi line of intimate products. When she’s not doing that, she’s talking about sex on her late night Internet show, Kandi Koated Nights. And now she’s even shaping new pop stars on her spin-off reality show, “The Kandi Factory.” (Phew!)

However, Sheree seems to be the only one who appears to have very little going on outside of her presence on the show. We rooted for her with regard to getting the proper child-support from her former NFL player ex-husband, Bob Whitfield. However, four seasons into RHOA, even that saga has dried out. We supported her attempts to enter the fashion world with her She by Sheree line. But alas, that enterprise fizzled into the background. Fans even waited to see the magnificence that would become “Chateau Sheree.” Nonetheless, when Kandi and Phaedra took a drive out to the site, it appeared that grass had begun growing over the ground that was broken for the massive property.

In short, we’ve been waiting for Sheree to do more than report what the other ladies are saying about each other on the show. Don’t be mistaken; reality TV thrives off that kind of behavior. But we’ve also got to look at the big picture. The other women on the program provide a dynamic that Sheree has simply been unable to offer viewers. If indeed the rumors are true, Mediatakeout will take much pride in being the first to break the “official” news. More than likely, by the time the reunion show airs we will have more information about this “housewife’s” fate.
