“Hollywood Exes” on VH1 Episode 7

I have a new reality TV addiction and it is called Hollywood Exes on VH1. The cast of Hollywood Exes is made up of :

Mayte Garcia (Ex wife of Prince)
Andrea Kelly (Ex wife of R. Kelly)
Sheree Fletcher (Ex wife of Will Smith)
Nicole Murphy (Ex wife of Eddie Murphy)
Jessica Canseco (Ex wife of Jose Canseco)

Last night the seventh episode of Hollywood Exes aired on VH1 at 9 p.m. EST, and it was a good one! For the most part, all of these lovely ladies seem to get along pretty well. There seemed to be no chance of there being any table flipping incidents (a la The Real Housewives of New Jersey ) which left me thinking this new reality TV show was going to be boring. Oh, I no longer have any worries of the sort. The August 1, 2012, episode satisfied my craving for drama big time.

Sheree decided to plan a “girls” weekend trip to Palm Springs and was kind enough to take Jessica and Nicole bikini shopping in order to give them the big news. Everyone was excited and looking forward to the trip….that was the last sign of any good vibes between Jessica and Sheree. You may be wondering what went wrong, well it was the decision by everyone except Jessica to eat meat or any living thing. Yes, Jessica is a devote vegan and, apparently, if you are going to eat anything around her you must be a vegan as well. She even went as far as to save a cockroach that was found on the estate, which used to belong to the late Bing Crosby, where the ladies were staying for the weekend.

When Sheree mentioned to the ladies that she made reservations at a swanky restaurant for all of them and she planned to order the veal, that is when all hell broke loose! Jessica was not having that at all! Jessica even went so far as to tell Sheree that if she ordered veal at dinner, she would then start wearing a shirt that says “Don’t Pray” and called her hypocrite. This, of course, was a huge slap in the face to Sheree who is currently married to ex-NFL star turned pastor, Terrell Flecher. Yes, she went there, and I thought that Sheree was going to lose her mind and knock her out with the Holy Spirit! But no, Sheree kept her composure as a lady should.

It did not take long for Jessica to show everyone who was the real hypocrite when she decided to order crab cakes for dinner while continuing to badger everyone else about eating living things and stuffing her mouth with crab simultaneously. I was stunned as she tried to justify eating crab by implying that it does not count because it is a crustacean and does not have a brain. Ummm, last I checked a crab is still a living creature so who is the hypocrite now love?

All the ladies decided to confront Jessica and her hypocrisy the next day after informing her that they purchased live lobster for dinner that evening. Can you believe that Jessica then refused to eat the lobster because it is living thing. She can’t be this slow, can she? After explaining why she would not eat the lobster, she then again accused Sheree of being a hypocrite and accused her of drinking a martini off camera. She was implying that Sheree did not want anyone to see her drinking alcohol because of her religion/spirituality, but Sheree was seen sitting at the table with a martini glass in her hand so that seems to be a moot point.

My girl, Andrea, had enough of this back and forth between Jessica and Sheree, and she decided to out Jessica by announcing in front of the cameras that Jessica would save a cockroach but abort a child! I just about fell of my couch when Andrea said that. Jessica was especially distraught since (according to her) they all promised not to talk about that in front of the camera. Well, the cat is out of the bag now.

Where they go from here, I just don’t know, but I will sure be watching. Stay tuned to VH1 every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. for continued antics of Hollywood Exes.
