Jumpjet’s New Private Jet Service is Ready for Takeoff

Based in Newport Beach, California, Jumpjet, is aiming to let business and first class flyers enjoy the convenience and amenities of private jet travel without spending 95% more than the price of using a commercial airline.

Jumpjet is a one of a kind private membership that offers the experience of private flying for the cost of flying business class. Jumpjet makes the reality of private jet travel more accessible with benefits including travel convenience, affordability and 40 participating cities.

Jumpjet CEO Will Ashcroft says they are all about helping the frustrated first-class flyer.

“We are not a private jet company. We don’t own planes and we don’t fill empty legs,” stated Ashcroft. “And we are very customer-service oriented.”

I’m intrigued, but how does it work?

Jumpjet has acquired specific technology along with an aggregation process that makes their service possible. Jumpjet is a private membership where one will fly with other members but on occasion, it is possible to have the entire plane to yourself if no other members are traveling to the same destination.

Using Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport as an example, Ashcroft stated that for his customers, time is money.

“On a one-way trip, they can gain about three hours and about six hours on a round trip,” calculated Ashcroft.

This can be particularly attractive to companies who fly their executives first or business class. Jumpjet is available in forty domestic cities, travel to Hawaii and the Caribbean is expected in 2013 and international travel is also being looked at.

As commercial airline travel becomes more stressful and time consuming, even for those who can afford to fly first or business, many wonder if the price of a first or business class ticket is worth the money. The amenities and services have been cut and those lines for check-in can be just as long as the lines for coach. Jumpjet is a membership service offering a private jet experience for the price of first and often business class.

“Our technology provides the most efficient use of passengers and aircraft. We are catering to a larger audience than just a high net worth individual who can afford private jet travel”, said Ashcroft. Jumpjet’s 2X membership offers 2 round trips within 3 months with up to 2 guests per trip for $1,995 per month with a one time sign up fee of $550. Jumpjet also offers a Rewards Program.

Even though the average flyer might wave this off as being out of reach, Ashcroft wanted to stress that they are not just going after the high-end customer.

“Our “Coast to Coast” membership can be shared to fit different budgets,” Ashcroft advised.

He also said partnerships with sports leagues and organizations are coming and a Jumpjet membership might allow your foursome to play a round in another state during the day and still be home for dinner that night.

It really is something to look at and consider for the discerning traveler.
