Ideas for Simple Fall Wedding Centerpieces

Fall wedding centerpieces are easy to create and do not need to break your wedding budget. Fall weddings offer an abundance of opportunities for making your own centerpieces for the reception. Craft supply stores place their fall decorating items on sale early in the summer in anticipation of the upcoming fall and winter holidays. DIY wedding centerpieces can be beautiful, inexpensive and fun to create. Through a bridesmaid party on weekend and spend time with your best friends creating unique fall wedding centerpieces. Take lots of pictures, have some great food and the result will be beautiful centerpieces and fun memories.

A simple, yet elegant and fun fall wedding centerpiece is a photo vase for each table (or 2 or 3 depending on the size of your tables). These square glass vases come with a 4″ by 4″ photo frame on the front of the vase. To make unique fall wedding centerpieces with these vases remember these tips:

**The silver frame can be engraved with up to two custom lines script. If you plan in advance, you can customize the engraving for each vase to match the photograph you are using in that each vase.

**Insert fun and unique pictures of the bride and groom. This is a great way to get people to mingle during the reception – the love to visit other tables to see the pictures and read the engraving on the frames.

**For a fall wedding, I like to take advantage of the seasonal flowers and foliage that are abundant during this time of year. You can either use real flowers or purchase silk flowers at a craft supply store – – it is purely up to the bride what she prefers. For this fall wedding centerpiece, I like to use fresh flowers. Brides should discuss their options with their florists because typically they can get a discount on the flowers for the centerpieces if they purchase them from the same florist that is doing the bouquets (some florists will even arrange the flowers in the vases for you for little or no charge).

**Use artificial fall leaves around the vases on the table to add color and depth to the centerpieces. Silk ribbon and branches also work well with the vases for a beautiful centerpiece.

Another simple, yet elegant and lovely, fall wedding centerpiece is a fall themed candleholder for each table. These can be as extravagant or simple as the bride desires. For instances, this fall leave hurricane candleholder is more formal than using a small drinking glass to create a centerpiece. Several things to keep in mind when creating this fall wedding centerpiece:

**Be careful with the cost involved. For example, the hurricane candleholder above is $55 per item. You can generally find less expensive candleholders and use fall leaves, ribbon and other embellishments to dress them up to save money.

**Use chargers under the candleholders to reflect the light.

**Consider the lighting at your reception – – how will candle light work with the lighting.

**Do not be afraid to use color. Deep, rich fall colors look beautiful reflecting the candle light.
