How to Throw a Lost Series Finale Party

The breakout hit television drama, Lost, is about to embark on its final season. Lost fans around the globe are preparing to bid farewell to the incredible castaways that truly make the show. Many Lost fans have plans for series finale parties to send off the incredible television show in style. If you love Lost and are planning to host a Lost series finale party, make it worth your friends while to attend! Try these ideas for throwing the ultimate Lost series finale party.

The Drinks. Canned drinks must be served for a great Lost finale party. Using computer sticker paper, print the Dharma Initiative logo onto the paper in about 2 X 2 inch squares. Cut the Dharma Initiative symbols from the paper and affix to your canned drinks. You can find various Dharma logos and templates here and here. The second link actually provides specific templates for a variety of drinks and foods. You instantly have good old Dharma drink rations for your Lost finale party.

The Food. The castaways on the famous Lost island found rations of just about everything they could want left over from the once-residential Dharma folks. Before that, however, back in early season one, the plane crash survivors were hungry. Charlie, in his bid to gain the affection of pregnant Claire, envisioned eating peanut butter with her, straight from the jar. This is a classic moment in Lost history so peanut butter must be on your Lost finale party menu. Additionally, seafood and tropical would be appropriate considering the locale. Just make the food for your Lost finale party special by adding Dharma logos to all of the containers, cans, and boxes of food. Again, this site provides dozens of great templates for covering your food in Dharma logos.

Decorations. An island theme is a great starting point when decorating for your Lost finale party. Blow-up palm trees, coconuts, and leis will give the feeling of a Dharma Initiative welcome party. Other items that would be great decorations for a Lost finale party are stuffed polar bears and fake lottery tickets with the appropriate numbers on them. You might even have “sign-ups” with clip boards as guests arrive, assigning them their new Dharma occupations and giving out the appropriate labels to wear.

More Fun. There are ways to make your Lost finale party one to remember. You might consider asking guests to dress up as their favorite Lost character. You could provide fake beards for those who choose not to come in costume to be instantly transformed into one of “The Others.” You might put sign-up sheets and flyers around the party area with headings such as “Join Benjamin Linus’s Book Club.” You may choose to start your Lost finale party a little early and watch the last few episodes leading up to the finale together as a group. Or you could watch the season finales of the other Lost seasons prior to the main event.

If you are a fan of Lost you already realize the gaping hole that will remain when the final season of this incredibly addicting television show is over. Enjoy what the great show has become by throwing your very own Lost series finale party.
