– Wire golf ball bucket (Don’t know what this is? – CLICK HERE)
– Golf towel
– Small bag of golf tees
– Small box of golf balls
Golfing gloves
– Ball marker / divot repair tool
– Coffee cup with golf theme design
– “Rules of golf” book, or something similar
– Hot glue gun
– Cardboard (cut to fit)
– Shredded paper basket fill (green looks nice in this gift basket)
– Floral Styrofoam
– Bamboo skewers
– Tape
– Ribbon

How to make a golfer’s gift basket – STEP 1

Create a base – Use a piece of heavy-duty cardboard to create a bottom for the wire golf ball bucket. To do this, cut out a sheet of cardboard which will fit snugly into the bottom. Then, use a hot glue gun to glue the floral Styrofoam to the bottom of the container.

Use the golf towel to disguise the base; it can be folded around the entire area to give the basket a ‘full’ appearance.

Position the tallest object – Typically, the tallest item should always go in the back of any gift basket. With this gift basket, the box of golf balls will likely be your tallest object. Position it behind the Styrofoam.

Center the coffee cup – To keep the coffee cup from moving around, take a wooden bamboo skewer to the bag of the coffee cup. Then, push the skewer into the Styrofoam. Fill the coffee cup with the bag of golf tees.

Add the smaller items – Place the small items (gloves, golf gadgets, etc) on either side of the coffee cup. Arrange the book at the back of the gift basket, next to the golf balls. If these items look like they may slip out of place, you can apply a small amount of hot glue to the cardboard packaging, or attach it to a skewer to hold it in place.

Add the finishing touches – Fill in empty spaces with the shredded paper fill. This gives it a little color and life to your gift. Use ribbon to tie a small bow, and hot glue it to the front of the basket.

Your golfer’s gift basket is now complete! If you’d like, you can use shrink wrap to seal the gift for shipping or to give it a professional appearance.
