Great Books About Acid Reflux Disease

The books out there for acid reflux disease total perhaps hundreds of them. But there are some that are especially good. In my article here, I am going to point out some of the books I think you should have in your library on this digestive issue.

Good Food for Bad Stomachs is a nice book to have. The book gets into ways you should eat when you are having ulcers, gastritis, gallstones, and acid reflux disease. The book in paperback form has 240 pages in it.

Eating for Acid Reflux is a book that focuses in on GERD specifically. There is several recipes, over 100 of them, that are just right and low in acid count. The authors of this book also gives information on therapies used for GERD and those that have had personal stories with the disorder. In the back, you’ll find a glossary that contains many resources that you can use. The book in paperback has 288 pages in it. This book is well worth having in your library since it is also a cookbook.

Heartburn and Acid Reflux for Dummies is a softcover book that has 360 pages. The book not only gets into therapies and treatments, but also talks about heartburn in a direct way. There are medicines listed that you shouldn’t take with GERD, and a section discussing whether or not surgery is a good choice for you. Stress is also focused on and getting the right doctor to treat your GERD problem. Diet is also largely discussed too.

Tell Me What to Eat if I Have Acid Reflux is another book that is written by author Anthony Starpoli, MD. The book is paperback and has 192 pages. This doctor gives you an outline basically, of acid reflux is about. He also expounds on why you have this condition. This doctor really expounds upon diet and your personal lifestyle, and how it hurts or helps acid reflux disease. Tips are given along with several recipe suggestions.

No More Heartburn Stop the Pain in 30 Days-Naturally! authored by Sherry A. Rogers, M.D. in paperback is another book worth looking into. It is 258 pages, and the doctor gets into reasons for heartburn and a general dietary plan to follow.

How to Stop Heartburn, authored both by Anil Minocha, M.D. and Christine Adamec, is a great resource since it talks about the latest treatments for GERD, and GERD in relation to your diet. Also discussed is dealing with your pregnancy and heartburn, and how stress brings on heartburn.

Chronic Heartburn: Managing Acid reflux and GERD Through Understanding Diet and Lifestyle, authored by Barbara E. Wendland is yet another great source. There are 100 recipes in the book and the latest information on scientific studies done on GERD. Endoscopy and surgery are also brought into the picture.

These are the seven best books that I think are out there for persons dealing with this problem. They should all be available at your local bookstore in the health and wellness section. You can also look under amazon.com.
