Dr. Oz – Vitamins

In addition to eating a healthy diet, Dr. Oz recommends taking a combination of daily vitamins and nutritional supplements to maintain overall health and wellness. Three top choices of Dr. Oz are multi-vitamins, a vitamin C supplement, and a vitamin D supplement.

Multi-vitamins. According to Dr. Oz, a multi-vitamin should be taken everyday. He recommends breaking the vitamin in two and taking half in the morning and the other half in the evening. Dr. Oz says this will help the body to absorb the vitamins better, and reduce the chances of getting an upset stomach which sometimes occurs when taking vitamins. Multi-vitamins increase energy , help with memory problems, and strengthen the immune system.

Vitamin C. Known for its ability to boost the immune system, vitamin C is a favorite of Dr. Oz. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that supports the health of the eyes, bones, and skin. It also reduces the risks for heart disease and urinary tract infections. More importantly, vitamin C helps the body absorb other important nutrients. Dr. Oz advises getting vitamin C daily. Take a supplement or drink a glass of fresh orange juice each day.

Vitamin D. Another favorite supplement of Dr. Oz is vitamin D which is also known for its ability to boost immunity. As a matter of fact, Dr. Oz believes that vitamin D could actually be more important than vitamin C in strengthening the immune system. Vitamin D is essential for supporting bone health and helping reduce inflammation in the body. Additionally, vitamin D may help prevent many types of cancer.
