Blueberry Pecan Kind Bar Review

The Blueberry Pecan Kind Plus Bar is one of my favorite nutrition bars. Nuts are great when you are a diet because they fill you up and keep you satisfied for hours. Pecans are especially healthful nuts that contain minerals, vitamins, and vitamins. In addition to antioxidants, nuts are a great source of monounsaturated fats.

The Blueberry Pecan Kind Bar was chewy and crunchy at the same time. It comes in a clear package with blue on the edges. I purchased it from Whole Foods Market, but I’ve also seen the Kind Bars at Publix Grocery Store. It’s not a messy bar so it’s easy to eat in the car or when you are on the run. I’d take it hiking for quick energy.

The Kind Bars are gluten free and wheat free for those with celiac disease or who don’t tolerate wheat. This gluten-free nutrition bar is also dairy free.

Here are a few nutritional facts I discovered from my Kind Bar review:

No. 1: Kind Bar calories: 180 calories.

No. 2: Kind Bar fat: 10 grams of fat including 1 gram of saturated fat.

No. 3: Kind Bar nutritional facts: zero cholesterol, 25 mg sodium, 23 grams of carbs, 12 grams of sugar, 3 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. Other vitamins include 4 percent of the recommended iron, 4 percent calcium, 2 percent vitamin C.

No. 4: Kind Bar ingredients: almonds, blueberries, raw sugar, raisins, pecans, honey, cashews, crisp rice, chicory fiber, soy lectithin and other ingredients.

No. 5: The bars are manufactured in a facility that uses peanuts, brazil nuts, walnuts, almonds, sesame seeds and soy.

The product does contain sugar, but some of the sugar is from honey and some is from blueberry, apple and plum puree. It may be a slightly higher if you calculate your Weight Watchers Points Plus, but keep in mind nuts and fruits may help you lose weight, according to researchers. Also, a snack with fewer than 200 calories and 5 grams of fiber is typically Weight Watchers friendly.

Compared to the Planters Nut-rition heart healthy cranberry bars, the Kind Bar has more fiber (5 compared to 3 grams) but slightly more calories (180 compared to 160). To me, they both taste equally as good, but it’s nice to have a bit more fiber in the Kind Bar.

The Kind Bar company is based in New York, New York. Visit them at www.KindSnacks.com.

For my Kind Bar Review of the Blueberry Pecan Plus Fiber flavor, I give it 4.7 out of 5 stars.
