Best Orange Flavored Cocktails for Spring

Are you in need of a few orange inspired cocktails for your party’s bar menu? If so, I might be able to help. As a former event planner, I know of several orange flavored cocktails that would be perfect for a spring soiree. Here’s a quick rundown on a few of the best ones:

Orange Blossoms

In my opinion, orange blossoms are ideal cocktails to serve at a spring soiree. They have a lovely orange color and a crisp flavor. In order to make one, you’ll need 1 ounce of orange gin, ½ ounce of orange cinnamon simple syrup, orange juice and orange sugar. Start by dipping the rim of your guest’s glass into a bowl of orange juice. While the rim is still wet, dip the glass into a bowl of orange sugar. Then place it into the freezer for a few minutes.

Next, combine the orange gin, orange cinnamon simple syrup and orange juice into a shaker filled with ice. Continue by mixing the ingredients until they are well combined. Once that’s done, remove the glass from the freezer and fill it with the orange cinnamon mixture. Afterward, garnish the drink with an orange blossom and then serve it to your guests.

Orange Haze

An orange haze is another cocktail that you may want to consider serving at your party. The drink has a very strong orange flavor because of its ingredients. It is usually made with equal parts orange schnapps, cinnamon schnapps, apple cider and orange rum. If you want to tone down the drink’s intensity a bit, feel free to substitute the orange rum with regular rum.

To assemble the cocktail, heat the apple cider and pour it into a coffee mug. Then stir in the schnapps and the rum. Afterward, top the drink with a dollop of orange whipped cream and serve it to your friends.

Orange Margarita

If you want to add a classic cocktail to your party’s bar menu, I’d recommend the orange margarita. It is typically made with 1.5 ounces of orange juice, 1 ounce of orange tequila and ½ ounce of Triple Sec. Prepare it like you would any other margarita. You may also opt to serve it with or without a salted rim. If you do decide to coat the rim, I’d suggest using Orange Sea Salt. I think that it adds a bit of extra interest to the cocktail.

Modified Orange Julius

Lastly, I’d suggest that you consider adding a modified orange Julius to your party’s menu. Unlike a traditional orange Julius, this one is made with Orange Blossom Cream Ale and orange vodka. You’ll also need some Di Saronno Amaretto. Simply pour equal amounts of each into a chilled pilsner glass. Then garnish it with an orange slice right before you hand it over to your guest.
