Best New Year’s Eve Punch Recipes

New Year’s Eve, is a time for family and friends to gather, and reminisce about the past. The New Year is a new beginning for many, it’s a fresh start, and chance to start over. New Year’s Eve parties happen all over the place. There is large parties in the streets of big cities, night clubs packed to the maximum, and homes throughout the United States celebrating this divine holiday. I would like to share with you 5 of my favorite, personal recipe mixed drinks, that are sure to please all your party guest. All 5 of these drinks are delicious, and easy to make, so I couldn’t pick a favorite. With that being said, they are listed in random order.

Tequila Punch Surprise
32 Ounces of Fruit Punch drink (not Fruit Punch soda, but the stuff you buy for a kids party)
32 Ounces of Orange Juice
8 Ounces of Tequila
8 Ounces of Light Rum

Serving size: 4 ounces
Serves : 20 guest

In a large punch bowl mix all the ingredients together. The order in which you mix does not matter. To garnish the punch bowl, add orange rings (slices of fresh oranges). Use 4 to 6 ounce glasses to serve your punch in. If you wish to garnish the glasses, do so by first pouring honey into one sauces, and granulated sugar into another. First dip the rim of the glass into the honey, and then into the sugar. Next pour the punch into the glass, and ad a slice of orange (ring) to top it off. The end result is a beautiful presentation, and a tasty punch.

Cherry Delight Punch
64 Ounces of Cherry Juice
10 Ounces of Vodka
6 Ounces of Rum
1 Package of Frozen Cherries.

Serving Size: 4 Ounces
Serves: 20 guest

A few nights before the party you will want to freeze the cherry juice, vodka, and rum. About 8 hours before the party starts, take the cherry juice out of the freezer, and let it start thawing out. About 20 minutes before your guest are due to arrive pour the cherry juice (now a slush) into a large punch bowl. If it is not thawed enough to pour out, run warm water onto the sides of the container to help it along. The vodka, and rum will not freeze, so you’ll have no trouble pouring it. Once you have all of the liquids mixed, take the bag of frozen cherries out of the freezer, and place them in a microwave safe bowl. You want to microwave them for about a minute, just enough to soften them. Now pour the cherries into the punch, juice and all. You can garnish the punch bowl by hanging fresh cherries by their stems onto the side of the bowl. You can also do the same for the glasses. To add more color to your punch bowl add a few lemon rings (lemon cut in slices). These will float on top of the punch.

Sweet Pineapple Punch
32 Ounces of Pineapple juice
2 (2) Liter Bottles of Ginger Ale
3 Quarts of Raspberry Sherbet (orange will also do)
12 Ounces of Light Rum

Serving size: 6 ounces
Serves: 15 – 20 guest

First chill the juice, and ginger ale in the refrigerator overnight, while the rum rest in the freezer with the sherbet. About 20 minutes before your guest arrive mix the rum, pineapple juice. and ginger ale in a large punch bowl. Next scoop out the sherbet and just drop it on top, do not mix the sherbet in. Use 6 to 8 ounce glasses to pour your punch in. To garnish the glasses add a small slice of fresh pineapple to the side.

Purple Forgiveness
32 Ounces of Ginger Ale
32 Ounces of Grape Juice
12 Ounces of Cranberry juice
12 Ounces of Vodka.

Serving size: 4 – 6 ounces
Serves: 15 – 20+ guest

Two or three nights before the party fill a small pot or plastic bowl with cool water. You want to make sure the pot or bowl is at least 8 inches, and fill it at least 3 inches deep. Make sure all of the juice, and ginger ale is chilled in the fridge at least 12 hours before the party. About 20 minutes before the party mix all the ingredients together in a large punch bowl. Next, run warm water over the bottom of the pot that you froze water in to loosen the ice ring. Once the ice ring is out of the pot or bowl, place it into the center of your punch, and let it float around. Use 4 – 6 ounce glasses to serve your punch in.

The Toast
3 Bottles of Red Wine
2 Cups of Sugar
8 Ounces of Brandy
2 Cups of Soda Water
1 Lemon
2 Oranges
1 Package of Frozen Cherries
1 Package of Frozen Peaches

Serving size: 4 ounces
Serves: 20 guest

The day before the party mix the red wine, sugar, brandy, peaches and cherries together. Using a large crook pot, let the ingredients simmer on the lowest setting for 5 – 8 hours. You might need to divide the ingredients in half if you have a small crook pot, and either borrow a second one from a friend, or allow yourself 2 days to make this drink. Once it has simmered for 5 – 8 hours, pour it into a large container and chill in the refrigerator. (If you like warm wine, there is no need to chill it) About an hour before your guest arrive, squeeze 1 lemon, and 1 orange into the wine. Note: use a strainer to do this, or you’ll have plenty of seeds to pick through. Next slice slim orange rings out of the remaining orange, and add. You can either pour all the wine into a large punch bowl, or you can use several glass pitchers. Use wine glasses to serve your wine in, and make sure each guest gets a piece of cherry, peach, and orange slice if possible. This makes a beautiful sweet wine, that even those who don’t like red wine will enjoy.

Be sure to have a punch that is non alcoholic available for guest that do not drink. I wish everyone a Happy New Year. Remember that you are responsible for your quest. If by any chance someone has had a little to much to drink, do not let them drive home.
