Woodbury, Minnesota: Weddings at Woodbury’s Majestic Central Park

Nestled in the heart of Woodbury, Minnesota, Central Park is an indoor park built to benefit Woodbury’s flourishing community. It is an indoor park designed for people of all ages, complete with a library, ice cream shop, jungle gym, and a place to relax and meditate. Better yet, this park is filled with tropical plants and waterfalls, a wonderful place to hold an intimate wedding. This makes Central Park the opportune place to hold a wedding, and here’s what you should know.

What You Should Know
Central Park is a beautiful place to hold an intimate wedding, and here’s what you should know:

– Central Park’s rates stay standard the entire year.
– Its atmosphere is constantly controlled. Weather won’t affect this park’s temperature.
– There is a bridge crossing a stream specifically designed for weddings.
– The amphitheater is used for most weddings.

Central Park, more notably, hosts weddings for very cheap. Renting out Central Park for the evening costs $1,000 for residents of Woodbury; for non-residents of Woodbury, it’s $1,200. This includes tables and set-up for the reception and a podium for the ceremony. Everything else is up to you in regards to decoration. Here’s what you should know about wedding ceremonies.

Wedding Ceremonies at Central Park
You have a couple of options for wedding ceremonies here:

– For an intimate wedding, choose the indoor bridge.
– For a bigger wedding, choose the amphitheater. It seats over 200 people and has a stage.
– If you’re looking to go natural, have your wedding in the back yard, where another bridge is located.

Also, if you’re booking Central Park for the entire day, Woodbury doesn’t allow you to have it before 6:00P.M. If you rent it on a room basis, you can have any time of the day you’d like, but people will interrupt.

You must provide decoration also, and you’re designated time beforehand to decorate, usually a couple of hours or so. Wedding receptions are more difficult with Woodbury staff.

Wedding Receptions at Central Park
Woodbury is a bit stingy about wedding receptions. Here’s what they restrict:

– No alcohol unless an officer is present. It costs you a couple of hundred dollars also.
– No home made food is allowed. You must have professional catering if you have over 100 people.
– All candles must be in candle holders.
– They must set up tables and linens. It is your responsibility to provide them with a chart before the wedding.
– Woodbury staff will check in to see if your wedding is being modest.
– All materials and garbage must be cleaned up by 1A.M. Garbage must be taken out with you. If it’s messy, you’ll get charged.
– Additionally, you cannot tack or tape anything to the walls or ceiling.

Besides that, Central Park is pretty lenient with decorations. You must provide your own either by yourself or through a rental company. Woodbury staff will provide you with a list of rental and catering companies if needed.

Costs for Central Park
Here are the current rate, according to Woodbury’s official site:

– Valley Creek Room A (reception). $40 hour Woodbury resident, $50 hour non-Woodbury resident. Seats 52.
– Valley Creek Room B (reception). $50 hour Woodbury resident, $60 hour non-Woodbury resident. Seats 96.
