I love pretty things as much as the next person, but I’ve inherited from my mother an obsessive need to find a great deal on everything. Years spent shopping with her have taught me that if you’re paying full price for anything, you’re getting cheated, and lingerie is no exception. You really can have beautiful lingerie without spending hundreds of dollars. Here are the best places to find it.

Daisy Fuentes
Daisy Fuentes makes some of the most beautiful lingerie I’ve ever seen. Much of it is an imitation of more expensive styles sold at that “Secret” place that breaks everyone’s bank account. Her designs are sold exclusively at Kohl’s and run the gamut from lacy push-up bras to teeny tiny thongs. Every time I check out her designs, there’s a new color and style, and Kohl’s frequently has buy one get one sales on lingerie. Stock up on Daisy Fuentes lingerie and you can get five or six bras at the price it would normally cost you to get just one!

Frederick’s of Hollywood
My mom tells me that Frederick’s used to be the go-to place for lingerie, and their designs were considered so scandalous a few decades ago that their catalog was sent in a brown paper bag. Now it seems like everyone has forgotten about Frederick’s, but their designs are still beautiful. Wonderbra revolutionized women’s underwear with their legendary padded bras, and then fell by the wayside when other manufacturers started making push-up bras. Wonderbra is still alive and well, though, and is carried in most department stores. They’ve expanded their repertoire to beautiful bras, panties, and other lingerie, and a bra can cost you as little as 10-15 dollars if you shop on a sale day.
