Guide to WWE Superstar Randy Orton’s Wrestlemania Matches

Randy Orton has been in the WWE for almost five years and during that short time he has climbed the ladder of success and is even the youngest World Heavyweight Champion of all time. He has also had numerous Wrestlemania appearences, and even main evented at Wrestlemania 22 and the upcoming Wrestlemania 24. Here is a detailed look at all of Randy Orton’s Wrestlemania matches.

Wrestlemania XX: Orton’s first Wrestlemania match may have been one of his best, as he went up against two legends, The Rock and Mick Foley, in a handicap match. On his side were Ric Flair and Batista, all members of Evolution. This was a great back and forth match, but Orton’s team took advantage of the handicap and got the victory when Orton delivered an RKO to Mick Foley and pinned him. This was an impressive start at Wrestlemania for the future champion.

Wrestlemania 21: Orton set his sights higher the next year, looking to defeat a wrestler who has never lost at Wrestlemania. The Undertaker’s undefeated streak was going to be nearly impossible to stop, but Orton put in everything he had in this impressive match. Undertaker eventually got the win when he reversed Orton’s attempt at the tombstone and gave him one of his own. Their feud would continue over the year and add more to Orton’s legacy.

Wrestlemania 22: Orton’s third Wrestlemania appearance would mark his first main event and he was involved in a Triple Threat match against Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio. This was an excellent match that saw all three competitors battle each other back and forth and all over the ring with reversals, double teams, and many other moves. It was a little short, but still very entertaining as Rey Mysterio got his first World Title victory in the WWE.

Wrestlemania 23: Orton would move away from the main event for a year when he entered the very popular Money in the Bank ladder match. Up against opponents like C.M Punk, The Hardys, Finlay, Mr. Kennedy, and Edge, Orton put in a great effort and even delivered multiple RKOs off of the ladder. It was Mr. Kennedy who got the victory though and Orton would have to wait another year for a chance at a Wrestlemania victory.

Randy Orton only won one of his four Wrestlemania appearances, but he has still impressed audiences, made history, and proved that he is one if the current best superstars in the WWE. He is sure to have many more appearances during his career and make history at Wrestlemania.
