What is the Best “Mom” Car to Drive?

My dreams of owning a huge deisel, chipped, turboed jacked-up Dodge Cummins have been dashed with the realization that I won’t be able to comfortably fit a family of 6 logically inside my big, sexy beast of a truck. Now I am on a new mission- finding the perfect SUV (or van, if I have to) to accomodate my fiance, his 4 kids, and myself without feeling like I am driving a “mom” car. Of course, I still want a sexy beast of a vehicle, and with the possiblity of more kids in the future, I am beginning to think that driving a car that holds 7 or more would be more logical of a choice. My question is- what is the best vehicle to own for a large family?

I keep leaning toward a Dodge Durango. I know I saw one that seats 8- and with the bold body and the front looking like a truck, I could be happy in one of those buggers. Is it the perfect “mom” car- I don’t know, but with a set of huge tires and a decent lift I think I would be happy with one of those as my family ride. I’d settle for a van if I had to, but only a cool one that didn’t make me feel like a soccer mom.

My question is- what is the best “mom” car, or should I say, family car, that seats more than 6? Does anyone out there drive a truly awesome vehicle that fits in a whole brood? And if so, leave your comments about what you drive so I can have more options to consider. If you drive a pimpin’ van, let me know, because I’ll keep vans in mind as well, so long as they are simply awesome.
