Are you in the market for a toolbox full of Handy Manny themed party favor ideas? As a former special events planner, I might be able to help. Here’s a quick look at a few Handy Manny themed party favors that you may want to consider using:
Tool Shaped Chocolate or Hard Candy
Tool shaped candy would make a super Handy Manny party favor. Most confectioner’s and restaurant supply shops carry a wide array of tool related candy molds that you can choose from. Among the hand tool shapes available are saws, hammers, crescent wrenches, pliers and screw drivers. There are even companies that make candy molds in the shape of power tools and tool boxes for less than $3 each. In addition to the molds, you’ll also need to purchase a bag of chocolate rounds and cellophane wrappers. I’d suggest that you also consider investing in a few tool box shaped treat boxes. A dozen tool box shaped treat boxes tend to sell online for $3.
Hand Tool Bubble Dispensers and Squirt Toys
Depending on the age of the children involved, you may want to consider making up a party favor bag that consists of small, tool shaped bubble dispensers and squirt toys. A dozen of the hand tool bubble dispensers and tool box squirt toys will tend to cost you less than $20 through most party supply shops.
Construction Hat and Tool Belt
Handy Manny is seldom seen without his hat and his tool belt, so why not use toy hard hats and tool aprons as party favors. The toy hard hats are generally available through costume shops as well as party supply shops for $6 a dozen. Canvas tool aprons may be purchased for $3 each through tool shops, restaurant supply shops and craft stores. You could even provide the kids with access to fabric paints and let them customize their tool belts as a party activity.
Handy Manny Coloring Books and Crayons
Handy Manny coloring books and crayons would also make a wonderful party favor. You may opt to purchase the coloring books ($3) through a party supply shop or make your own. There are several websites that provide free Handy Manny coloring sheets that can be printed and stapled together between two pieces of card stock or construction paper.
Wooden Tool Box Craft Kit
If the kids are old enough to work with craft glue and paint, you may want to consider using wooden tool box craft kits as party favors. Believe it or not, the kits are available through department stores and craft stores for as little as $4 apiece. I have also seen tool box kits where the tool box was made out of heavy duty cardboard. Personally, I’d just splurge and go with the wooden tool box kits. In my opinion, they tend to be a better value and will last long after the birthday party ends.
