Top 20 Graduation Slideshow Songs

I used to work for a company that produced slide shows for people using photos and music to create a video montage. Over time I was able to compile a list of the most requested songs for Graduation Slide shows. I have rated them from the top song all the way to number 20. I provided reasoning for the top ten songs on the list. Enjoy.

Graduation Slideshow Songs

1. –Graduation Song -Vitamin C
This song is a classic for graduation slideshows as it points out all of the good times that you have shared. It also highlights the fact that “friends forever” theme will always stay true.

2. –I’ll Be There For You– The Rembrandts
When you graduate high school or college one thing you find is that you fear losing the relationships you have established. I think that this song does a fantastic job at letting people know that no matter what happens, or no matter how long its been “Ill be there for you”.

3. –My Wish– Rascal Flatts
As you graduate there is so many different directions your life can take the this song is a great way of saying that all everyone wants is for each other to live life to the fullest and to succeed in reaching their dreams.

4. –Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)- Green Day
This song can some up your school years as a whole. After school everyone states that “those were the best years of your life”, well this song is a great way to say I hope it really was the best years of your life.

5. –I Hope You Dance– Leanne Womack
This is another song about meeting goals and dreams. It is very metaphoric and creative. The lyric “I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean”, is just one of the powerful lyrics in the song.

6. –Live Like You Were Dying– Tim McGraw
As you sit there after a graduation or even during the speeches one thought that crosses your mind is “whats next”, and this song is a great way to say do what you want to do and live like you were dying.

7. –Here’s To The Nights– Eve 6
This is a great reflection song about all those fun nights you had in school, whether it be an amazing night with friends, or having a fantastic prom. This song brings you back to those places and makes you say “here’s to the nights”

8. –Closing Time– Semisonic
This one is pretty self explanatory, its closing time. You are closing one door to your life and are questing out to go open the next door.

This song is a fun one, it brings you back to all those things that most young people do such as throwing parties, eating pizza, and summing up the life as a student as a whole ” we were brave, we were crazy, we were mostly young.”

You can never go wrong with this classic “We Did It!!” song.

Graduation is a time for all to remember and not forget, whether you are graduating from high school or college you are closing one door of your life and opening another. A slideshow is a great way to capture those fun times and life lessons you learned while in school. Picking the right song(s) for the slideshow is the icing on the cake for many shows.
