Great Donald Trump Quotes

Donald J. Trump is a real estate developer, reality show host, billionaire, and CEO of the Trump Organization. Ninety-eight percent of Americans know who he is, mainly because of his popular reality TV series, The Apprentice, in which he popularized the phrase, “You’re fired.” (He even filed a trademark application for those words in 2004.) Because of his frequent television appearances and his major celebrity status, Donald Trump’s words have a fairly significant impact on our society. This article contains 25 of his quotes on business, life, success, and more. But before we get to his words of wisdom, here is a little more biographical data on ‘The Donald.’

He was born in 1946 in Queens, NY. He graduated from the New York Military Academy and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Finance before going to work for his father, Fred Trump, in his real estate business. In 1977, he married Ivana Zelnickova, a New York fashion model originally from the Czech Republic, and they had three children together.

Donald Trump is the developer of the extravagantly grandiose properties: Trump Tower, Trump Palace, Trump Parc, Trump Park Avenue, Trump World Tower, Trump Plaza, and more, all having his name in the title. He is also part owner of three beauty competitions: Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss Universe. His books on business, How to Get Rich, The Art of the Deal, Think Like a Billionaire, and others have been best-sellers (a few of the quotes in this article were taken from them). Trump’s larger than life persona, penchant for exaggeration, and his unruly hair have all contributed to his popularity, which makes many people listen to what he has to say. And now on to the quotes.

“Billionaires don’t care what the odds are. We don’t listen to common sense or do what’s conventional or expected. We follow our vision, no matter how crazy or idiotic other people think it is.”

“Show me someone without an ego, and I’ll show you a loser.”

“Subtlety and modesty are appropriate for nuns and therapists, but if you’re in business, you’d better learn to speak up and announce your significant accomplishments to the world — nobody else will.”

“Don’t assume you have to accept the hand you were dealt.”

“The worst things in history have happened when people stop thinking for themselves, especially when they allow themselves to be influenced by negative people. That’s what gives rise to dictators. Avoid that at all costs. Stop it first on a personal level, and you will have contributed to world sanity as well as your own.”

“I’m sure some wise guy in the media is going to accuse me of comparing myself to God, so for the record, I do not think I am God.”

“Don’t be afraid of being unique. It’s like being afraid of your best self.”

Finding your purpose may be a lifelong pursuit or you may have discovered it when you were 5 years old. There’s no absolute timeline for anyone. That’s a good reason never to give up, to keep on discovering things every day.”

“You can’t know it all. No matter how smart you are, no matter how comprehensive your education, no matter how wide ranging your experience, there is simply no way to acquire all the wisdom you need to make your business thrive.”

“The point is that you can’t be too greedy.”

The old saying that ‘success breeds success’ has something to it. It’s that feeling of confidence that can banish negativity and procrastination and get you going the right way.”

“I’m always impressed by ultra successful people who live great lives in a low-key manner.”

“If you really want to succeed, you’ll have to go for it every day like I do. The big time isn’t for slackers. Keep up your mental stamina and remain curious. I think that bored people are unintelligent people.”

“I only work with the best.”

“What separates the winners from the losers is how a person reacts to each new twist of fate.”
