The Isle of Romance Wedding Package is offered by a planner for a total cost of $1600. It does not include minister gratuity or witness fee. The package does include round trip tickets for the couple aboard the Catalina Express from various ports in Southern California. The package also includes flowers for the bride and a boutonniere for the groom.
Two nights hotel and three days at the Seacrest Inn is offered. The inn is a truly wonderful old Victorian setting. The rooms feature either an in room whirlpool or oversize tub for your enjoyment. The bubble bath and rubber ducky are yours to keep. A continental breakfast each day of your stay. There are also arrangements that can be made by contacting the Seacrest Inn directly. Their friendly staff will provide you with a range of prices and surprises.
The Service:
The service is officiated by a non-denominational minister. You must have a valid California marriage license. Your Catalina Island marriage certificate is an additional feature of the package. The bride is treated to a stylish up do at the Island Breeze Salon. A complimentary make up is also included. The salon is used for a dressing room for the bride. The ceremony is concluded with complimentary champagne or sparkling cider. Photographs of the happy couple are also included. Additional guests you may want to bring along will be charged $44.50 for the Catalina Express. Their hotel accommodations will be charged separately. The Day Trip Wedding Package:
If you decide all you want is a packaged wedding and would like to make your own honeymoon plans either on Catalina Island or elsewhere that is possible through the wedding planner mentioned above. The Day Trip Wedding package includes round trip tickets on the Catalina Express. You may travel over in the morning and be back state side by that evening. The package includes flowers for the bride. A boutonniere for the groom and two rolls of film shot by Norfleet Photography of the wedding ceremony. The minister fee is included and the ceremony is chosen by you from an assortment of vows. A portfolio of your marriage certificate and the lovely ceremony vows you have chosen. The ceremony is conducted in a beautiful spot. The total cost of the day trip package is $750. Again, you must have a valid California marriage license. There is also services offered on the Catalina official page which will allow you to arrange for a private service for as little as $175.
Catalina Island Activities:
An extended honeymoon on Catalina Island is both romantic and has endless forms of outdoor activities. If you like to fish the coves and various fishing areas will challenge your imagination. Some of the biggest catches take place on Catalina Island. If you enjoy plant life a hike around the island will literally blow you away. There are bison on the island that have grown in numbers. They were originally brought to the island to shoot a film in 1924 for Zane Grey entitled, The Vanishing America. Zane Grey was an obvious visionary for his time. The island is pretty much the same as it was then due to vigilance of the inhabitants.
A visit to the Wrigley Memorial Botanical Gardens is definitely a sight to behold.
