The Most Essential Vitamins for Men

For anyone to maintain good health, it’s definitely required that they get their fair share of vitamins and minerals. Vitamins provide essential steps in processes of everyday life, and without them we would die. Everyone needs to have a diet rich with a large variety of vitamins and minerals. However, at many different times in our lives, taking a vitamin supplement is definitely a wonderful idea.

During certain years of their lives, men are going to need different vitamins than they needed as a child. They’re going to need vitamins in the way that women need additional B vitamins, folic acid, and others during their child-bearing years.

Folic Acid is one of the very important vitamins to men. There is also research that suggests that a presence of folic acid can dramatically reduce the chances of developing alzheimer’s disease. Even though this fact isn’t 100% true, or proven to date, you should still have a diet rich in folic acid, because it accomplishes many other beneficial goals for your body.

Calcium is important to anyone, however it may become even more important for a man working physically. Calcium helps build and strengthen bones, and is very important in keeping yourself moving.

Glucosamine is important to have as men age. Glucosamine plays a crucial role in keeping joints in our body strong and mobile as we get older.

Omega 3 are fatty acids that work mainly with the blood and heart. They’re known to keep blood pressure down and help maintain a more healthy heart. Lately, there have been a few contradictory statements, but in the past, cardiologists have always supported omega 3.

Selenium. Although it’s not necessarily proven, it has been assumed that it’s a good mineral in the field of preventing cancer. Brazil nuts are a great way to get some selenium in your system. Eat these regularly to keep your levels up.

Vitamin E is a very popular vitamin that I’m sure you’ve all heard of. This helps slow down the aging process some, and plays a crucial role in the quality of your skin.

Creatinine is another big one. This may be less heard of, but it’s definitely important. Creatinine will help boost our memory abilities, as well as muscle strength. Obviously, you’re going to need to be careful while taking this supplement, because there are other effects.

Boron can be found in raisins and almonds, and can reduce the risk of men developing prostate cancer.

Vitamin C is necessary for all ages and anyone. However, if a man is to smoke, they should be taking more of a vitamin C supplement, as the smoking will pretty much deplete the vitamin c he gets from his diet.

Overall, just taking vitamins like “once a day men’s” will contain all of the essential vitamins you’re going to need to maintain good physical and mental health. I’ve been taking those vitamins for quite some time, and I’ve maintained good health for years. If you’re more worried about individual vitamins or supplements, refer to this article or find alternative sources of these vitamins and minerals.
