The Triumph Motorcycles are known for three things: the looks, the design and the performance of their unique motorcycles. With their aims of giving the best models to users, a bike with balanced and easy to handle chassis, along with the flexible engines which are tough enough to withstand any challenges on the road, long years of passion in ingenious motorcycle engineering and crafting has given the Triumph bikes a distinct character and has made them the top manufacturing company of motorbike. With the impressive models that they come up with, they have a long list of motorcycles awes us and at the same time overwhelmed us with the unique and breathtaking bikes that they have. To resolve this dilemma, here is a list of the 10 best bikes that Triumph has to offer.

1. Street Triple

Browsing through the Triumph catalog the first to catch my attention was this awesome machine. It is an Urban Sports model which looks fitted to a race track, the sleek designs and eye catching colors (comes in fusion white, jet black and tornado red) are very impressive that everyone will turn their heads when you pass by driving this. Also, it is fitted with high level, twin slip on mufflers which are titanium wrapped and designed in partnership with Arrow Special Parts. The hard anodized brakes and clutch levers come with red machine cam adjustors in order to tailor fit the lever span of an individual and two different lever lengths to suit the riding preference of the rider.

2. Speed Master

A bike which is aptly described by the company as “brooding dark horse”, it initially tends to be intimidating to look at but as the designs sink in deeper, one would begin to appreciate its unique, sleek and old-school design. It is fitted with air-cooled 865 cc parallel twin 270 degrees engine. The old model of motorcycles is reused but crafted to adapt with the demands of a modern biker.

3. Bonneville T100

This sweet piece of motor comes with the classic 60’s bike look but with the wonders of the modern engineering. If you are someone who likes the old looks but wants to have the perks of the new technology then this bike will be a match made in heaven for you. It is an air-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin, 360 degrees firing interval and has 865 cc capacity. The exhausts are made with stainless steel headers and twin chrome silencers. Maximum power: 49kW @7500 rpm and maximum torque is measured at 50ft.lbs @ 5800 rpm.

4. Scrambler

This bike is reminiscent of the machines in the old Hollywood but this comes with the latest fuel-injected, air-cooled 865 cc parallel twin with 270 degree crank that gives off distinct notes from the side chrome pipes and comes in two colors of jet black and matte khaki green. Other specs, bore/stroke is 90x 68 mm, power is 43kW@6800 rpm and torque is 50 ft.lbs@4750.

5. Thunderbird

This ride is mainly for those who like to go in road cruising as despite the long stretch of road ahead it is handled with enough ease and comfort that one would demand. This is a meticulously redesigned model where the tank holds a place for the speedometer, tachometer, two trip meters and a fuel gauge. Specifications: liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel -twin with 270 degrees firing interval, capacity is 1597 with oil capacity of 4.2 liters. The frame is built from twin spine tubular steel. This is a re-mastered model from the original Triumph racing bikes from the 60’s which provides a sporty and comfortable riding position. It is one of Triumph’s sportiest models from their Modern Classic line. It is the air-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin with 360 degrees firing interval type and has 865 cc capacity with exhausts made from stainless steel headers and chrome twin upswept silencers. 7. Rocket III Roadster

This bike had left me speechless from the melding of the engines and the metal up to its performance on the road. This gives more focus on the riding position and acceleration which provides the increased torque. The specifications: liquid-cooled typed with DOHC and in-line 3-cylinder, 2294 cc capacity and oil capacity of 5.9 liters. The frame is made from twin spine tubular steel with the swingarm in twin-sided steel that houses the drive shaft. The fuel tank can fill up to 24 liters. Maximum torque is 163ft.lbs@2750rpm.

8. Tiger SE ABS

I’m the sort who wants extra compartment such that I put the Tiger in this spot. Aside from this, this model gives a 100% use of the braking system which will be needed in emergency situations so you can pull in the brakes without the concern of locking the wheels. This is a liquid-cooled typed with 12 valve, DOHC and in-line 3-cylinder, has the capacity of 1050 cc and houses oil of 3.5 liters. The frame is made from twin-spar aluminum build. Fuel tank holds up to 20 liters and lastly performance-wise, it remains at par with the other Triumph models with 83 kW@9400rpm, power and torque of 72ft.lbs@6250rpm.

9. Sprint ST ABS
This is a perfect combination of a sport and tourer bike. The design and looks are both awesome and the performance superb. It was even hailed winner of the Motorrad’s 50, 000 endurance test. Specs: liquid-cooled type, 12 valve, DOHC and in-line-3 cylinder, has 1050 cc capacity and oil capacity of 3.5 liters. This is built on aluminum beam perimeter frame and has a fuel tank capacity of 20 liters. Power: 92kW @ 9100 rpm. Torque: 76 ft.lbs@7500rpm.

10. Sprint GT

On the number one spot is the Sprint GT that gives more emphasis on the sports and touring aspect which was popular with its predecessor, Sprint ST. While the ST is more of the ‘sports bike’, the GT gives more feel in the touring side of sports touring. This comes in a stylish and yet practical package that comes with 31 L panniers, 200-mile fuel range, standard ABS brakes, top box that can accommodate two helmets and 12 volt power supply that allow the tech-savvy riders “on the go” charging of their electric gadgets like PDA’s, mobile phones and laptops. This remains in level of other sports bikes when it comes to handling but at the same time it provide comfort to two riders for a cross-country adventure. This bike will be available in fall and one of the early releases for the 2011 models.
