Short Poems for Black History Month

He had a dream

This dream, you see

That some day humanity

Would be equal and free

That his children would live

In an unprejudiced world

Equal opportunity

For every man, woman, boy and girl

These days there are still some

Opposed to such a cause

And though we’ve moved forward

The human race still has it’s flaws

But I have a dream

This dream, you see

That some day humanity

Will be equal and free
