Nissan Insulated Mug by Thermos

I love my morning coffee, and I own numerous insulated coffee mugs to keep my cup of java hot. Although my mugs work okay, I have been having difficulty removing the tops on some of them, and this has really been a problem with the arthritis in my hands.

Description

This handsome thermos mug measures 7 1/4″ tall, with a handle that extends away from the body a full two inches and is made of ergonomic soft touch rubber. The thermos mug gas a black rubberized bottom that resists slipping, and the center of the mug has six ridges of rubber, measuring 1 3/4″ in height, which helps you to grip the thermos securely. The top portion is made of black plastic, with stainless steel above and below the rubber ridges. There is even a hole at the top of the handle, so you can add a carabiner to it!

The cap is extremely unique, in that it can be used to drink out of both sides of the mug! The caps on my other travel mugs only have an opening on one side, but this has two, which makes it very handy and convenient! The cap on this model is also designed a bit different in that there is a small plug that screws into the top, a method that is also used with a standard thermos. This can be screwed completely tight, to make the thermos spill proof (and it truly is), or you can leave it open a bit to allow only a little or a lot of liquid to come out. The interior is made of stainles18/8 stainless steel, and is vacuum insulated. There is actually an airless vacuum space between two stainless steel walls, using the Thermos patented TherMax insulation layer. This Thermos mug holds a generous 14 ounces.

It Keeps My Coffe Hot For Hours

After using “insulated” mugs that keep my coffee hot for an hour, I was honestly shocked that this Nissan Thermos mug will keep my coffee hot for THREE hours. No kidding! I poured myself a cup of coffee at 7 am today, and by 10 am, which it is now, it is still hot. And not just warm, I mean hot. What a pleasure to use a mug for my coffee that keeps it hot all morning long. When I used my other insulated mugs, I would fill them with almost boiling water from our tap appliance to warm the cup up before adding coffee, and they still didn’t keep my beverage as hot as this Thermos brand.

I have a business in my home and get distracted numerous times during my mornings, from phone calls to other issues, and it’s so nice to come back to my cup of coffee and have it taste hot and fresh! The company states that this will actually keep hot liquids hot for 4 hours, although I’ve never had any coffee left in it after that time to attest to that fact. It also claims to keep cold liquids cold for 8 hours! When cold drinks are placed in this Thermos mug, it will not form condensation!

This Thermos travel mug is their top of the line mug, and retails for $26.99. I’ve paid more for an insulated mug at Starbucks that didn’t hold a candle to this Thermos Nissan Travel Mug. I love that I can grab it from either direction, and am able to drink my coffee out of either side of the top, just like drinking from a normal coffee cup. The sides of the top, or lip area, are also raised a bit, to fit perfectly to the mouth.

There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this Thermos Nissan Travel Mug! The 2 3/4″ diameter bottom will fit into most vehicle drink-holders, it is
lightweight and virtually unbreakable. The stopper will twist closed completely to prevent any spills, so I have no worries about taking this on a bumby road! We often run into bumpy dirt roads when we take out our motorhome, but I have not had one spill with my Thermos Nissan! This mug has tipped over before, and it didn’t spill one drop!

I have used this Thermos mug not just for hot liquids such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate, but you can even keep soup hot in this for hours. Clean up is easy, and I even put this in my dishwasher with no ill effects.

If you are looking for a way to keep your coffee hot on the way to work, to the gym, or any other activity, you should consider buying the Thermos Nissan Travel Mug. I believe it’s worth every penny, and truly is the best insulated coffee mug I have ever used. Amazing.
