My Free Scrapbooking Layouts

Remember those days when you were in high school and all you did was take pictures, whether you took pictures with your friends at school or at parties, or even on family outings. I still, to this day absolutely love taking pictures. I have my camera on me at all times. It’s always a great thing to capture those fun and precious moments in life.

High school provided me with many fun times and plenty of opportunities for picture taking. The dances were the best. I always had my hair done and did my makeup the best it’s ever been. These were always the greatest times to take pictures when all us girls were in our pretty dresses. Snap shots here and there. You’re probably wondering what I did with all those pictures. Well, I made scrapbooks. That was one of my favorite hobbies in high school.

Scrapbooking is such a fun and joyous hobby to have. There are so many free scrapbooking layouts and scrapbooking page ideas. I never ran out of an idea to use. The best thing is going through all your old pictures deciding which page to put them on and how to organize them. Some of the free scrapbooking layouts weren’t exactly what I was looking for so I would use a few ideas from that and then create something of my own. Scrapbooking doesn’t necessarily take a lot of talent, but it does take a lot of time.

Brainstorming is one of the biggest parts involved in scrapbooking. I think you have to put all your ideas together before you can go at it. You have to think of all the scrapbooking page ideas you want to have and then you have to organize all your pictures and decide what goes where. I used to make my pages according to the event and the date order. That way, years later when I go back into memory lane I’ll know exactly when and where I was. It’s so fun to see how fast you and your friends and family have grown.

Another great thing about scrapbooking which is pretty obvious is that you get to use your imagination and creativity. I always loved getting stamps and stickers to add little embellishments to my scrapbook pages. If my scrapbook page’s theme was a school dance then I would find little dress stickers or even some small confetti to put on. Oh right, glitter always adds a special something too, especially for those dance pages. It’s such a magical time. Or for those of you who want to make free scrapbooking layouts of your wedding day glitter is always fun to have. It’s such a great day you want to remember. I know most people get a professional album for their wedding, but if you make your own scrapbook it’s just that much better. You add your own personal touch and you can be proud of yourself for making it.
