Maxalt – Great Medication for Sinus Headaches

I’ve suffered from sinus headaches for the past few years, and sometimes the pain is unbearable. When the headaches first became a problem, I was able to take over the counter pain medications to get some relief from the pain and pressure. However, as time went by each one became less and less effective.

Overtime I came to a place where not only did the pain intensify and the duration increased, but also no over the counter medications would work for me at all. I had literally tried every OTC medication I could find. Sometimes the pain was also joined with light sensitivity, resembling a migraine. Each one comes in a little foil and plastic wrapping, which is then contained in an individual packet, and also comes with a carrying case. You need to store them at room temperature and also you don’t want to open the individual packet until you are ready to take it. The tablet itself is a self-dissolving one that you place under your tongue. This is great for anyone like me that has a hard time swallowing pills. It started working for me about 20 or 30 minutes after taking it. The pain gradually eases away. On one occasion, for about the first hour after it started to kick in, I got pretty sleepy but I was able to go into work, and after a while the sleepiness wore off. I had over an hour after taking it to see how just how drowsy and sleepy I felt before going to work. I would strongly suggest seeing how it affects you before getting behind the wheel. You may also need to let your doctor know what other medications you take and any other health issues you have before asking for this prescription.

Another great thing about Maxalt is that the pain stays away for several hours after taking it. The last time I took it the pain stayed away for about 12 hours.
