How to Use Internet Marketing Online for Affiliate Programs

When first starting internet market online, most people are clueless about affiliate programs let alone how to market them. It took a long time for me to figure out what affiliate programs to join and exactly how to do internet marketing online.

First off I had to learn all I could about marketing in internet terms. I learned all I could about search engine optimization. I learned about finding targeted keywords and keyword placement in my content. I also had to learn how to find paying targeted keywords. The keywords could be found with the use of a free keyword tool called Wordtracker. This would give me the daily searches for certain terms. I was looking for terms that had at least 80 searches a day and above.

I would then take these terms and find out how many competing web pages there were on Google. I would take the term and in close it with parentheses and put it in the Google search bar. This would give me exact pages on the web with my term. If it was under 30,000 pages then I would keep the term.

Once the term was acceptable as far as pages already on Google, I would then go to Google Trends and search the term there to see how the trend was going for that term. If the trend was on an upward or steady growth than I would keep it, if it looked like the trend was going downward than I would get rid of the term and start all over. The only exception to this is if your term is a seasonal searched term.

Mostly I do not worry too much about Google Adwords ads, because I am more interested in making money internet marketing online with affiliate programs versus Adsense sales. If I were looking to make money off of Adsense, then I would want to go to Google Adwords and use there keyword tool to see how many ads were related to my keywords.

Now that I have my searchable term, I need to find an affiliate program. To find a program, just type your term back into the Google search bar. This time, however, place the words “affiliate program” next to the term in the search bar. I am searching for an affiliate program that pays me at least 50% commission on a sale. Preferable I want a program that pays 75%. There usually are many affiliate programs that pay that much. I am looking for a program that pays at least once a month. Some programs pay more often, but every two weeks to once a month is the norm.

There are many market places where you can join for free and promote all or any of their products. Clickbank.com and paydotcom.com are two that I use most for digital products. There are many others that you can also use having physical products and they are all free to join.

Next you will need a place to promote your affiliate products from. The easiest and of course free ones are Blogger and WordPress. When you start to sign up you will want to name your site and your URL your searched term. This is the term that you already know people are searching. In order to rank well in the search engines you need to make sure that the search term is the title and the URL if possible.

Now you need to add content to your blog. Since you already know your keywords and how to write for internet marketing online, you need to incorporate your affiliate product using anchor text search terms into the content as well. Anchor text is just clickable text using your search term or keywords.

Make sure you add fresh content on your blog every day for a while and ping your blog every time you update the content. This will let the search engines know about your site and will help in getting your blog indexed quicker.

Now you need to market your blog. The best way to do internet marketing online is to write articles. Your articles should all be keyword optimized using your searched terms and keywords. You want to submit your articles to high ranked article sites, there are ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com. Try to submit 10 articles to each site with back-links to your blog. You can also make lenses and hubs and write articles on squidoo.com and hubpages.com with links back to your blog.

I also use usfreeads.com to add more back-links to my blog. I write a well optimized article about my affiliate product and add a link to my blog. Also try using a few of the social networking sites and forums and add signatures back to your blog.

These are the best free ways I have found to do internet marketing online for affiliate programs and they have so far not let me down. Once your blog starts making consistent money, then you can move on and start the process all over again, from finding your keywords, to affiliate program and a new blog.
