Houston’s Restaurant: A Great Steak House and More in Winter Park, Florida

Houston’s Restaurant in Winter Park, Florida, is a very lovely place to eat. The restaurant is at 215 S. Orlando Ave, in Winter Park. The restaurant is known as a steak house, but the menu is still varied. You can get a lot of other different and casual items besides a steak. This makes it not one of those especially fancy steak places. You can get different types of salads or a hamburger. This varied menu helps to makes Houston’s a bit less stuffy than your normal fancy steak house.

The decor of the restaurant also lends itself to a more casual appeal. Right when you enter you simply see a wonderful wide open space, filled with seating, and people. To the left is where all the action happens. It to is wide open to the public eye. You can watch as they make every dish. If you look straight ahead you see a wall of windows.Out these windows is the most lovely lake. On the lake there are homes. They along with the restaurant have docks. There is boating and water skiing and any number of water sports going on at any given time. There is also a lovely outdoor area with Adirondack chairs and tables. Some under umbrellas, some not. You can go out to enjoy a cocktail or have your whole meal served to you right there. They also have a lovely herb and vegetable garden to serve the restaurant that you may walk through, to the left.

Inside any seat is a good one. You get a lovely view of the surrounding lake and all of the activities on it. There are also all kinds of wildlife to watch. The window goes around the entire one wall of the building. As the wall is all a big window the inside of the restaurant is very bright. Unlike many other well known steak places.

The food is very good, and served in a very good manner and time. Your every need will be met and your drink will always be filled. We had prime rib when we were there. It was done just how we ordered it. It was pretty good. Not the best we have had, and a bit fatty. It came with vegetables and your choice of potato. Houston’s is a good steak house to bring children, as they have different types of sandwiches and hamburgers and lesser fair type foods, too. Also unlike other more stuffy steak houses.

All in all Houston’s is a wonderful and peaceful way to spend a lovely evening. Think of going around sunset to really get a beautiful feeling and view.
