Gerber Graduates Lil’ Entrees for Toddlers: Fast, Convenient and Easy to Prepare

My children were preparing to spend the day with a friend. So I purchased the Gerber Graduates Lil’ Entrees for Toddlers as a way to make it easy on her during their feeding times.

Gerber Graduates Lil’ Entrees – Packaging

The primary coloring of the cardboard package is yellow with splashes of green, red, purple, blue and white – it’s very pretty. In the upper left-hand corner is the adorable little Gerber baby. The packaging displays a very detailed picture of the meals that are inside.

When the outer package is opened, it reveals a blue sectioned tray that is tightly sealed by a thick sheet of protective plastic. The trays are sturdy enough to be reused if desired.

Gerber Graduates Lil’ Entrees – Preparation Instructions

The meals are precooked, so all you have to do is puncture a hole in the seal of each tray section and heat for 30 seconds. All microwaves are different, so be sure to check the temperature of the food before you serve it to your toddler.

Gerber Graduates Lil’ Entrees – Serving Size and Nutritional Value

Depending on the meal variety of your choice, the nutritional value and calories per 150 g serving will vary.

The Macaroni & cheese with peas and carrots has 150 calories per serving – in which 50 of those calories are from fat. The macaroni & cheese meal has 20mg of cholesterol, 420mg of sodium, 17g of carbohydrates, 2g of dietary fiber, 2g of sugar, and 6g of protein.

The percent daily values are as follows: 27% protein, 50% vitamin A, 8% iron, 10% zinc, 10% calcium, and 10% copper.

Gerber Graduates Lil’ Entrees – Texture

The meals are the perfect size for little fingers that are just learning to self-feed. My kids have no trouble chewing or swallowing the small, tender pieces.

Gerber Graduates Lil Entrees – Price

I’m sure that the cost of these entrees will vary depending on your location and the store in which you choose to purchase them. I pay close to two-dollars per entree. I can’t speak for anyone else, but that’s expensive when you’re providing them for more than one toddler.

I only feed them to my children every so often, as I am not in the habit of giving them prepackaged microwave meals on a daily basis. But I can attest to their convenience. They don’t need to be refrigerated – so they’re great to take on vacations. All that’s needed is a microwave and a hungry toddler.
