Facebook Toolbar for Firefox Users

If you are constantly logging in Facebook to check your messages, updates, and other stuff, you may want to try the Facebook Toolbar. The Facebook Toolbar is a plugin for Firefox users. With this toolbar, you can see when you have new messages, new updates, and more. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to install the Facebook toolbar for Firefox and I will show you how to use it.

How to Install the Facebook Toolbar for Firefox

You can find a direct link to the Facebook Toolbar plugin at the bottom of this tutorial. You can copy and paste it in a new tab. Then click the green Add to Firefox button when the page loads. The following page will ask you to accept the terms of service. Click the Accept and Install button to start your installation. When the Firefox box opens, click Install when the button lights up. It will only take a few seconds to complete the download. When it is finished, you will need to click the Restart button to complete the installation. When your Firefox browser reopens, the Facebook Toolbar will be installed.

How to Use Your Facebook Toolbar in Firefox

You will need to begin by clicking the Login button on the far right side of your toolbar. When the box opens, click the Allow button. Then click the Close Login button. Now you will need to click the Login to Facebook button again. This time when the box opens, you will see the fields where you can enter your username and password. Then click the Login button to log yourself in. When you are logged in, you can close that box.

Using Your Facebook Toolbar in Firefox

Now I will walk you through the toolbar. Let’s start from the left of your toolbar. Some of the items may not appear right now, like the messages icon. Your messages icon may not appear until you get a message.

Friend Sidebar – This is the first icon in your toolbar. Clicking this icon will open a toolbar on the left side of your browser and you can view all of the latest status updates by your friends.

Search Facebook – If you want to find something on Facebook, you can use this search field. Type what you want in this field and press enter on your keyboard to perform the search.

Quick Links – Clicking the quick links menu will show your different sections in Facebook. You can click on of the links in the menu, to visit that section.

Pokes – If someone pokes you, you will see how many has poked you by this icon. You can click the icon to see who poked you.

Friends Requests – If you have friend request pending, you can click this icon to see who they are and accept or ignore them.

Messages – The next icon is your message icon. You can click this icon to view your messages.

Share – If you want to share a webpage that you are on, you can click this icon to do so.

Upload Photos – Clicking this icon will allow you to upload your photos.

Set Your Status – You can quickly type your status in this field.

Logout – If you want to logout of your toolbar, you can click this button.
