Egyptian Themed Party Favors for Adults

Are you contemplating hosting an Egyptian themed dinner party this year? If so, you may want to take a minute to check out my Egyptian themed party favor ideas. Each one is geared towards adults. Here they are:

Bottles of Ta Henket

Individual bottles of Ta Henket packaged up in Egyptian themed wine bags would make excellent party favors. Ta Henket, just in case you are not familiar with it, is a beer brewed by Dogfish Head. The beer is made from Egyptian herbs and spices. It also comes in bottles that are outfitted with faux hieroglyphics. The downside to using bottles of Ta Henket as party favors is that they are only sold in certain areas. As such, you’ll really need to search hard for it. States where the beer is sold include Georgia, Florida, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Prices for the bottled beer will vary based on the retailer.

Individual Boxes of Halawa

Individual boxes of halawa would make super gifts as well. Halawa is an Egyptian dessert that is often made with sesame paste, nuts, honey and whipped cream. It is traditionally formed into blocks and sliced thin before serving. Should you want to give it a try, there are a variety of halawa recipes available online. If you do decide to go that route, I’d suggest packaging the halawa inside tan pastry boxes decorated with Egyptian designs.

Egyptian Chocolates

If you are stuck on creating a touristy, Egyptian pyramids related vibe, there are other party options available to you. Chocolates fashioned in the shape of Egyptian mummies and are one of them. Based on my experience, the Chocolate Vault sells mummy shaped chocolates that look like they were molded to resemble museum pieces. On average, each of the company’s chocolate mummies will lighten your wallet by about $2. I’d recommend placing the chocolate mummies inside sarcophagus shaped treat boxes. You can find instructions on how to make the treat boxes posted on Martha Stewart’s website.

Egyptian Candles

When it comes to party favors that are capable of doing double duty, Egyptian candles are one of your best options. After all, the candles may be used as table decorations, party favors and place cards. With that said, there is a wide array of Egyptian themed candles to choose from. Some of the candles are fashioned to look like Ankhs. Others are pillar and luminary style candles that feature Egyptian symbols and other embellishments. One company that sells a good variety of such candles is Candle Mania Egypt. You can find the company online. Prices for the candles will vary.
