Eco Friendly Weddings: 5 Go Green Wedding Tips

Looking to incorporate your Go Green ideas in your wedding without advertising it to the whole world? Well, it is so easy to celebrate the happiest day in you life in an earth friendly, eco friendly, Go Green manner you can be proud of that will not inconvenience your wedding guests!

Go Green ideas incorporate recycle materials, earth friendly products, and promote these values to your family and friends. So, take advantage of this opportunity to expose as many people as possible to your Go Green lifestyles!

Use Recycled Wedding Invitations

You can find beautiful recycled paper today. I remember when I was a kid and tried to use recycled line paper for school. It looks and felt recycled! Not so today! Today’s recycled paper wedding invitations are as beautiful and elegant as their unrecycled counter parts!

Donate $ to Go Green Charities as Wedding Favors

This is such an easy way to Go Green at your wedding! Everyone should do this! Think of the money you spend on wedding favors, that while cute, are often tossed out, lost, or forgotten. No need to worry about that if you donate one lump sum of money to your local go green charity!

Have a fall or Spring Wedding

So, this may not seem like such an obvious Go Green wedding idea at first. By choosing to hold your wedding in the spring or fall though you are cutting the amount of air conditioning your wedding venues will be using by well more than half! Seriously. Think how much energy it requires to cool a huge open church sanctuary or ball room in the middle of July! So, although this may seem like a small change, it can really make a hug impact on the earth’s ozone layer! Every bit helps and if all brides to be caught on to this simple step you would be shocked at the amount of fuel saved!

Hold Your Wedding Locally

Now, this Go Green wedding idea is common sense. Holding you wedding locally or in a central location the largest group of your wedding guests will save a huge amount of gasoline! Think of the fuel burned by planes and cars! It is amazing to think that by controlling the location of your wedding you can help preserve the earth and create a better environment for future generations!

So, don’t take this Go Green wedding tip lightly when planning the location of your wedding.

BBQ Food

Ok, this is again another area that you can Go Green at your wedding without drawing a ton of attention and throwing your Go Green lifestyle in your wedding guests’ faces.

It is a well known fact that BBQ grills put out less emissions than your typical oven. Plus, BBQ food tastes great! If you are insisting on having that summer wedding, than the least you can do is save the energy and serve BBQ food to all of your wedding guests.

Grilled veggies, salmon, chicken, and steak are all wonderful and classy additions to a formal wedding!
