Dunkin Donut’s Latte Versus Starbuck’s Latte

Dunkin Donuts has recently been making a big push with their higher end coffee drinks that complete with Starbucks. I love a good latte and have been drinking both the Dunkin Donut’s latte as well as the Starbucks latte. So, who wins the battle of the latte? You’ll have to read to find out!

Dunkin Donuts Versus Starbucks Latte: Fat

Ok, the fat is not varying too much here folks. You can decide the fat content you want at both stores by simple choosing fat free milk, 2 percent milk or whole milk. Both stores have all of the above.

A latte is made of steamed milk and espresso. The espresso is fat free, so no need to worry about that.

Dunkin Donuts Versus Starbucks Latte: Taste

The taste are very different to me. Starbucks has that rich and strong burned taste to their espresso. This is a familiar taste some of us grow to love and covet. Yes, I too was once a Starbucks junkie.

On the other hand the latte at Dunkin Donuts has their signature mild and non bitter coffee taste. It is espresso as well, but without that strong kick the Starbuck’s brand is known for.

If you are new to Lattes, then I imagine you will prefer the Dunkin Donut’s version. I do. If you are a Starbucks addict, then their latte will win. I personally prefer the Dunkin Donut’s latte not only for the taste of the espressos, but for a few other reason I will soon discuss.

Yes, price does mater. I live within walking distance of about 13 Starbucks and about 5 Dunkin Donuts. In a major U.S. city these ar not hard to find. What I have found though is that prices can vary at Starbucks, while at very Dunkin Donuts they stay the same ( and always less than Starbucks).

So, due to consistency as well as the lower price, the Dunkin Donut’s Latte wins out on this one!

In find that a medium (grande) Starbuck’s latte can range form $3 to $4 depending upon which location I am at. The Dunkin Donut’s Latte is always right at $3 before taxes. Plus they simply call it a medium!

Dunkin Donuts Versus Starbucks Latte: The Winner

Finally, yes, it is Dunkin Donuts as the over all winner for me. The price is less, the taste is less bitter, and the product s equally as fancy as the better known Starbuck’s latte.

So, save yourself about 50 cents each time you buy a latte and get one at Dunkin Donuts!
