Another Wart! You would think by now my body would have stopped producing warts. But, NO. I have had problems since my teen years. Having to have them burned out from under my thumb nails, only to grow back and to have to have them burnt out again.
Well over the years I have gotten sick of the injections to freeze and then the burning process. It takes so long to heal. And can be expensive. So my alternative was to find something I could do myself. I looked through all of the different brands and decided on Dr. Scholls Clear Away Wart Remover. The package comes with 18 medicated discs and 20 cover-up discs.
First you was the area and dry very well, then I chose the medicated disc that is closest to the size of the wart. I also trim my discs to be just a little larger then the wart.
There is a light tan side of the disc and a dark side. The dark side is the medicated side which contains 40% Salicylic acid. I place the dark side of the disk over the wart and press it down, then I take the cover up disk and put it over the medicated one. I find for me putting a band aid over the top of the cover up disc works the best for me, especially when I am working as the cover up discs provided have a tendency to start to peel off if you are sweating.
I leave the medicated disc on for 2 days(48 hours), and then remove it, the whole area that is covered by the medicated disc is all white, I wash & dry the area thoroughly and reapply another disc, cover up and band-aid and keep doing this same process every to days until my wart is gone.
Now when you take your medicated disc off you are able to rub fairly hard to get rid of the part of the wart that has died off already. And eventually the whole wart will be gone after another application or 2. It usually only takes me about 1 week of use. I also have found out if the wart grows back then this time I leave the disc on the same amount of time but, I make sure that the salicylic acid has eaten below the surface of the skin to remove the roots of the wart.
Active Ingredient: 40% Salicylic acid
Warnings: For external use only
Do Not Use if you are a diabetic, don’t use on moles, have bad circulation, on warts with a hair growing out of them, genital warts, on skin that is irritated or reddened, do not use on the face.
I myself highly recommend that if you have a wart on your hand or fingers, cover the medicated disc and cover up with a water tight band aid or medical tape. Because my mother had one on her finger and did not cover it up with a band aid or tape, and was starting to find sores on her face when she woke up. She finally realized it was the acid leaking through while she was sleeping. She figured she must have been putting her hand up by her head on her pillow and had her face resting against the area.
I have been very satisfied with Clear Away Wart Remover System. To me it may take a little bit longer than having the doctor burn the wart off. But, it is a plus as you don’t have to have an injection, or have it burnt into your skin, and have to go through the pain or healing process. Here once you are done. You don’t even need a band aid, there is not pain while you are using the remover, and once done, the old skin just peels away.
I highly recommend Clear Away Wart Remover System for the ease of use at home.
