Celeb Trend Report: Britney Spears & More Celebs Rocking Brown Hair

“Argo” might have been the talk of the Oscars, but all anyone could talk about at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party was Britney Spears’ dramatically different look!

The former “The X Factor” judge looked fabulous in a Michael Cinco Couture dress, De Grisogono jewelry and Saint Laurent shoes, along with her dark chestnut strands.

And it wasn’t a last-minute decision: Her stylist told E! News that the 31-year-old singer planned on going brown for over a month.

‘Over the past month we both pulled out general pictures from magazines that we both like and then we collaborated on the color,” stylist Brittany Hunter said, adding that Spears wanted to keep it close to her natural hair color.

The actual color change took a few days, according to Hunter, because she wanted to make sure the “Scream and Shout” singer was fully committed to the change.

”We started the process on Thursday and then finished it up on Sunday,” she added.

Just in time for the party!

Rihanna

Rihanna has rocked every color of the rainbow with her hair, but we think she looks best when she wears her natural dark brown hue.

And why does her hair always look so amazing? She drops a ton of cash for her hairstylist, Ursula Stephen – to the reported tune of $23,000 a week, according to the Daily Mail.

RiRi gets what she pays for, though. Stephen is a near constant presence in the singer’s life and changes her hair at a moment’s notice.

“Her hairstyle typically changes depending on what’s on our agenda, what she’s wearing, or how she’s feeling,” Stephen told PopSugar in 2011. “We take it day by day and event by event, and usually will both bring ideas to the table.”

Beyonce

Beyonce’s hair – like Rihanna’s – changes depending on the day or event. She’s rocked blonde hair on a regular basis, but she truly looks radiant when she wears her natural brown hue.

And, believe it or not, she does her own hair sometimes, too.

“I recently cut two inches myself – I just parted it in the middle and chh-chh-chh!” she told People in 2012.

Designer Victoria Beckham wears her hair brunette on the regular now – she knows what works for her! There was a time, though, when she tried the blonde trend.

And, believe it or not, she’s pretty laid back when she sits in her stylist’s chair.

She’s very easygoing and always lets me play around a bit,” Jessica Galvan of Neil Georges Salon told Elle in 2009.
