Are you planning a bicycle themed party for your son or daughter? If so, you may want to check out my list of bicycle themed party favor ideas for kids. Here they are:
Bicycle Fanny Packs
In my opinion, fanny packs make super cycling themed party favors because they can double as a party activity. You can give the children the fanny packs and allow them time to decorate their packs with fabric paint. A dozen fanny packs may be purchased through party supply shops or clothing wholesalers for roughly $16. A package of fast drying fabric paint pens will typically cost you $5. You can generally pick those up at major craft stores and fabric shops.
Bicycle Baskets
Homemade bicycle baskets are also worth considering if you are able to purchase the baskets in bulk. Like the fanny packs, you could allot time during the party towards decorating the bike baskets. I’d suggest that when it comes to purchasing the baskets that you check out your local discount stores. I have found that often times store managers are willing to order in bulk for you through their supplier. If you can finesse your way into such a situation, you’re apt to save a ton of cash.
Bicycle Edibles
If you’re looking for an edible party favor, bicycle candy is one option to consider. You may opt to purchase a bicycle candy mold through a candy making or kitchen specialty shop for $3. That way, you can make your own bicycle candy. Based on my experience, there are a handful of bicycle candy molds available. Some of the molds produce circular pops with a raised image of a bicycle. Other bicycle candy molds produce a rectangular chocolate bar with a raised image of a bicycle.
There are also plenty of companies that make bicycle shaped gummy candy, bicycle shaped bubble gum and bicycle shaped dextrose candy. Heath conscious folks may also want to consider handing out homemade bicycle trail mix instead of candy.
Bicycle Spoke Reflectors
In my experience, bicycle spoke reflectors also make a great party favor depending on the guests’ ages. In most instances, you can purchase bicycle spoke reflectors through bicycle shops and department stores for less than $5. I’d suggest that you talk to your local bicycle shop owner first and ask if he or she is willing to cut you a deal on a bulk purchase.
Bicycle Water Bottles
Handing out water bottles is something else that you may want to consider. Water bottles are typically available through party supply shops for $17 a dozen. You may also want to consider including Velcro straps with the water bottles so the kids can attach the bottles to their bicycles when they get home. A roll of Velcro tape will tend to cost you less than $5 depending on the retailer.
