BeautiControl Spa Instant Manicure

BeautiControl is a company I just learned about, and one of their product is great for dry skin. I love their BC Spa Manicure Instant Manicure, which comes in a 10 ounce jar and is available in a few different scents so there is something for every gal.

BC Spa Manicure Instant Manicure is very easy to use, you simply take a small amount of product, maybe 1/2 teaspoon for both hands, and you scrub it into your hands, much like you would rub in hand lotion. You can do this for as long as you want, and while you are doing so it feels like you are rubbing your hands with a grainy substance like salt, sugar, or sand. At the same time it feels oily and is very easy to spread around.

As BC Spa Manicure Instant Manicure sits, the mixture tends to separate, the Dead Sea salt sinks to the bottom of the jar, while the oils rise to the top. You simply have to mix it well before you pull out your small amount each day.

After I have finished scrubbing, I wash the mixture off of my hands in warm water, and it takes a little while to get it all washed off, and the oils don’t totally come off with the salt. Then after rinsing, my hands have a very oily sheen on them, and they need to be dried with a paper towel. I don’t like to use my cotton hand towels because they will make them to oily.

Even after I have wiped my hands dry with a paper towel, they continue to feel oily, and the oils will continue to seep into the skin do a nice job of moisturizing my hands.

The ingredients used in BC Spa Manicure Instant Manicure are quite pure. It is thickened by sodium chloride, and includes natural ingredients like avocado, Dead Sea salt, canola oil, macadamia nut oil, spearmint, orange, tea tree, sea kelp, keratin amino acids, sunscreen, fragrance and coloring.

BC Spa Manicure Instant Manicure retails for $27.00, which seems expensive on the surface, but this container will last for months, which makes this product a fairly good value.

BeautiControl claims that their Spa Manicure Instant Manicure softens and moisturizes the hands and cuticles, and that the natural oils will moisturize and protect the hands and nails.

My hands have been looking pretty shabby lately, and after doing a lot of yard work my cuticles around my thumbs were pretty flaky. After I used BC Spa Manicure Instant Manicure this morning, my hands were in much better shape, and the product did a good job of exfoliating the dead skin in a very gentle manner.

The only aspect to this product I don’t care for is the fact that even after I wipe my hands dry, the backs of my hands have an unnatural shiny appearance. If you don’t think the possibility will bother you, it is a good product for adding moisture to the hands. It can be used on a daily basis if you so desire, but I feel this is much more necessary in the dry winter months than it is during the summer.

The spearmint is my favorite scent, but the odor doesn’t really last very long, it fades but the moisturizing benefits continue. A good product for dry, aging hands, or for anyone who wants to give themselves a hand spa at home.
