A Mother’s Day Poem

The following poem was publshed as a letter to the editor in my local newspaper. It is so good that I want to share it with all my readers.

MOTHER is a word that means the world to me

Editor:

M is for the many things she does for me.

O means perhaps she is getting old.

T is for the tears shed to save me.

H is for her heart as pure as gold.

E is for eyes with love always shining.

R is for right and right she will always be.

Put them all together and they spell mother, a word that means the world to me.
