World Class Cuisine Meets the Walden Galleria in Buffalo, New York

When one thinks of eating a meal at a suburban shopping mall, does a fancy, sit-down lunch come to mind? Just one visit to The Cheesecake Factory at the Walden Galleria Mall in Buffalo, New York will make you feel like you are experiencing world-class cuisine without even leaving the states.

Definitely not your typical eatery or restaurant, when you first walk in the door! Strategically placed to the left of the entrance is the take-out cheesecake counter. From just the sights and aromas alone, one knows it will be impossible to walk out without trying a piece of cheesecake, or at least taking one home, and depending on what time of day one visits, the wait for a table may just be a little bit more bearable.

When one does arrive at the table, the menu appears almost in a storybook type fashion, presenting the numerous selections of cuisine from all parts of the world. Vividly worded descriptions paint an excellent picture of the cuisine one is about to enjoy. Prices range from affordable to exquisite. One would guess this would be a great time to gather a group of friends to experience a fine meal, while sharing expenses.

Appetizers range from $5.95 to $7.95, and there is a wide variety from various origins. Very appealing to both the eyes and the stomach, just from the plating, was the crispy crab wontons. Not your typical crab rangoon, by any means…fresh crab meat is blended with cream cheese, green onion and water chestnuts inside a perfectly crispy wonton wrapper. The wontons sit atop a pile of fried Chinese rice noodles. The sweet crab sauce, which comes on the side, is much more delectable than the typical duck sauce usually served at Chinese restaurants. Way too tempting not to eat the whole plate!

Entrees are abundant, available in lunch sized portions and range in price from $7.95 to $26.95. While a choice seems so hard to make, on this particular day, the Chinese chicken salad was chosen. Sliced chicken breast sits piled atop rice noodles and lettuce. Green onions, almonds and bean sprouts are also scattered scattered in the mix. Oranges, sesame seeds, a special plum dressing, and even pieces of wonton leave a flattering taste upon the taste buds. Never before has a salad been so appetizing and filling! It’s a wonder one would have room for dessert.

Talk about a way to end a delightful lunch! Sampling a slice of Godiva cheesecake is enough to take your breath away. Layers of flourless Godiva chocolate cake is layered into chocolate cheesecake. Chocolate mousse, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a piece of Godiva chocolate makes one wish each bite could last forever.

So, the next time you are looking for world-class cuisine complimented by the shopping mall experience head to The Cheesecake Factory in the Walden Galleria Mall in Buffalo, New York.
