Where to Find Affordable Suiting for the Big and Tall Man

From time to time, I will answer questions from readers, friends, and colleagues concerning fashion. This time my friend Marcus had a question. He wanted to know of places where big and tall men can purchase quality, yet affordable suits. He is not the only big and tall man I know who has a hard time finding quality clothing that does not cost them a fortune. So, to help my big handsome men (BHMs) I scoured the internet to find the best clothing sites that cater to your size range.

Paul Fredrick is a catalogue retailer that also sells online. This men’s clothing site features very affordable suits and suiting separates. Suit sizes range from a 36 to 58 with separates going up to a 4XL/4XLT. You can have suit trouser altered for a better fit for an additional $12.00. Take note that prices listed are for average sizes. You will need to add $25.00 for all Big and Tall sizes.

Your best bet is look for sales to get the greatest value. Sale prices typically start at around $50.00 for jackets, trousers, and vests.

Unlike Casual Man Big and Tall, there is not definitive size chart that is specific for BHMs. You will need to know your suit size then consult the size guide to find which designers carry it and what size they list it as. Men’s Warehouse sells complete suits for under $500.00 and they also have more expensive complete suits. To maximize your dollar keep an eye out for their “Buy One Get One for $100.00” sales. You could very well end up with two suits for $500.00.
