Wedding Hairdo Tips for the Entire Bridal Party

There are hundreds of hairdos for brides to choose from. It depends on: the veil, if you are going to use a veil, your dress, the length of your hair, if you want a tiara, your hair’s texture and your face’s shape.

How do you feel more beautiful with your hair up or down? Do you like the line of your neck? Does your hair color create a beautiful contrast with the veil or the wedding dress? Do you like the texture of your hair? Go with your instincts, if you feel more beautiful with your hair up try to find a hairdo that adapts to your hair texture and your face’s shape, and is formal or casual enough for your dress. If you like wearing your hair down, choose a style that works with your features and the dress.

Your primary concern should be the quality of your hair. Healthy hair is strong, shiny and soft. Start by taking care of it with good products. Go to your hairstylist if you have one or look for one that will be affordable for your budget, and talk to them about what you want or think you want for the wedding. Decide on your hairdo before purchasing your veil and/or tiara. Once you have decided the hair do that you want ask him to give you a haircut that works with the do that you want, this will give you time to get use to your new haircut and to give your hair a beauty treatment.

If you color your hair set an appointment with your hairstylist 2 weeks before the wedding to color your hair. Even if you have been coloring your hair at home for years it would be better if you go to a professional for this special occasion also get a final trim before the wedding. In addition set an appointment for 2 days before the wedding for him to do a deep conditioning treatment on your hair to prepare your hair for the wedding do.

Keep the rehearsal dinner hairdo simple and classic. Nothing too elaborated or that will put extra strain on your hair before the do for the wedding. It is important when you are deciding on your hairdo that if you are going to wear your hair down, make sure and don’t let your bridal party to have up dos, instead go for a basic Dutch or French braid, so they do not have the hair down like yours but their up dos don’t make them look more special than you.

When choosing a veil and/or a tiara, you need to take into consideration your do, and your face and head shapes. Don’t choose a tiara that is too big for your head or face, or you will look like a girl playing with her big sisters tiara. Choose a veil that represents the same spirit as the dress, romance, chic, modern, or classic, and is complimentary to your tiara (if you are wearing one).

Rehearsal hairdo, practice your hairdo with the veil and/or tiara a week before the wedding and test how it stays after a few hours, remember you probably are going to have that same hair do for about 8 to 10 hours on your wedding day, so you need to address any issues that might come up.

Finally appoint someone that you know is good with hair as your hairdo saver. She will be in charge of any retouches or quick fixes that you need. She should be caring in her purse a travel size bottle of hair spray, some bobby pins and a any other hairdo saver that you can think of.

Remember that the most important thing is to enjoy your wedding and feel beautiful.
