Treating Infertility at Home

Fertility is the capability in which a male and a female can reproduce. There are many factors that determine the ability of a couple to reproduce. If one or both partners are unable to successfully reproduce they may suffer from infertility. If one or both partner is infertile it substantially lowers the chances of reproduction. However, this does not mean that pregnancy can not occur. This article will describe infertility and alternative means of increasing ones’ fertility.

You may choose to visit your obstetrician or gynecologist to discuss and establish reasons infertility may occur in you or your partner. This is the most widespread way to treat infertility. However, this method may not be preferable to many couples. It is important to be looked at by a physician and rule out any long term reasons for infertility. They may check for cysts, diseases, low sperm count, or many other factors relating to infertility. Once the cause is determined it may be easier to treat the symptoms.

Stress can actually be a leading cause of infertility in both men and women. Stress is known to reduce the production of eggs in females and sperm in men. Stress is most likely the easiest cause of infertility to treat. You may use meditation or yoga for stress reduction. Other popular ways to reduce stress without medication include prayer, warm baths, and hypnotherapy. Stress itself may lead to infertility. However, it is most effective when added to a preexisting condition. Such as, low sperm count.

A lesser known cause of infertility is chemicals and other factors in our environment. Mold can cause fertility. Exposure to certain pesticides and other chemical products used in cleaning may increase the likelihood of infertility. These factors are best treated by removing the cause. For example, no longer using pesticide or ridding your home of any mold or fungus. These are known to cause other illness as well. Any illness due to infection will decrease fertility. Though it is normally short term it is best to seek treatment for any illness relating to the environment.

Homeopathy is a good method of increasing fertility also. There are many homeopathic physicians that will design treatments specific to your condition. These treatments may include any number of methods and should be monitored by a professional. Some roots and herbs may also be used in this method.

Hydrotherapy is a widespread treatment for infertility in both men and women. It focuses on providing better circulation into the pelvic region. This increases the production of sperm in men. It also increases proper blood flow in women and increases the chances of ovulation. This method uses cold and hot water alternately to increase fertility. Never use water hot enough to burn. This could have adverse effect.

Aromatherapy is another method thought to be effective in increasing fertility. The key to this is to always use essential oil, never perfumed. Rose oil may be put into a hot bath. Rose oil is thought to open the chakras in the heart and increase blood flow. Another oil used is pachouli oil. This oil has similar properties and also increases relaxation. Some have been known to use incense and candles also.

In closing, the most important factor in treating infertility is your overall health and immunity. Be sure to have the proper amount of nutrition and vitamins. Sometimes a deficiency in vitamins may lower fertility. It may be as simple as taking the proper daily values of vitamin c and zinc.
