Top Medical Charities for Children

Every child deserves the best treatment available, no matter what their medical problem may be. These children’s medical charities help in various ways. They offer emotional support, financial assistance, housing assistance, funding for research, and medical assistance for children with various medical problems. These charities are not listed in any particular order. They are each equally important in the role that they play in helping so many children.

Children’s Miracle Network Charity
Children’s Miracle Network’s mission is to generate funds and awareness programs in partnership with and for the benefit of member hospitals/foundations and the children they are
privileged to serve.

3.4 billion dollars has been raised for hospitalized children since 1983 by Children’s Miracle Network. These donation have come in the form of one or two dollar donation. This proves that every dollar can make a difference. The next time you see that red and yellow paper Miracle balloon, consider donating that dollar. It will make a difference in the life of an ailing child.

Shriners Hospitals for Children
Shriners Hospitals for Children provide research, teaching programs, and pediatric specialty care. Each year they provide care for thousands of kids with burns, spinal cord injuries, cleft lip and palate, and orthopedic conditions for free. Children are eligible for this care until they reach the age of 18. They currently have 22 hospitals located in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude is a pediatric treatment and research facility. Their main focus is on pediatric cancers like brain tumors, leukemia and lymphoma, etc. St. Jude’s website says, “With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today’s most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly.”

Ronald McDonald House Charity
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.

RMHC provides families with a comfortable place to stay while their child receives treatment. This may be in a house near the hospital or in a family room located inside the hospital.

They also have the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program. This program delivers medical, dental, and health education services to communities that need it most.
