The New Renault Clio Range- Review

Four years after the release of the first Renault Clio in 2005, a new look Clio has arrived with a more modern appearance. The main changes in the design of the new Renault Clio are the brand new bumper and lights at the back of the vehicle, and the new look bonnet on the front. There are six trim levels to choose from when you buy the new Renault Clio.

Driving the original Renault Clio was a relaxing subtle experience it made turning corners smooth with great handling and the car was also fantastic to ride on straights. The new Renault Clio takes the previous driving experience and makes it go one better with a super suspension helping you turn corners with ease, and if you pick up the most expensive model which is the ‘Renaultsport 200’ you can take advantage of the full driving experience and fly down the motorway which really does feel incredible.

The engines fitted into the new Renault Clio’s match the trim levels values. It starts off with a 1.5 litre diesel engine; these both go into the 85bhp and the 106bhp versions. All the new Renault Clio versions come with a six speed manual gearbox. The pick of the engines for all the new Clio trim levels is the most expensive, Renaultsport’s 197bhp and 2 litre engine delivers the ultimate driving experience.

The interior of the new Renault Clio range has been kept at an outstanding level with the space to easily fit 5 people inside the car. No matter what body style you choose you will only be impressed by the professional car design and the features that can be used inside the car such as air conditioning, and fantastic leg room. The lowest quality boot you will get from the least valued trim model is 288 litres, but the most spacious boot you will get is the 439 litre with the Sport Tourer model.

The safety of the new Renault Clio is top notch and rated 5 stars in its official test. All the model’s have 6 airbags to make you feel as safe as you are at home on the road. So the safety of the Renault Clio is not something to worry about but something to be proud of if you own one of these vehicles.

The new Renault Clio is one of the most expensive Supermini’s around, but in my opinion it is well worth the money as it gives a smooth safe driving experience and makes you feel very comforted on the inside too. On average though the Clio is on the same price range as its rivals all six models range from £10,000 – £18,000, and as I said the car is worth that amount of money.

In my opinion the Renault Clio has been upgraded for the best so it can keep up with its main rival which is the Ford Fiesta. If I was choosing a model I would go with the ‘Renaultsport 200’ as it holds all the comfort and safeness on the inside and a better drive than the other trim levels. Another good job done from Renault.
