The Many Uses of Table Salt

Simple table salt has a great number of uses other than simply seasoning our food. The following list will give you just some of the many uses there are of salt, many of which you probably already know of and some that you didn’t.

Sprinkle salt on greasy build up on kitchen stovetops and then wipe up with a damp sponge.

Keep a container of salt by the front and back door of your home to sprinkle on the steps and sidewalk to de ice them and prevent falls.

Moisten table salt with a dash of vinegar and then dip your finger into the mixture and rub your hands together. This will remove odors from your hands left behind from spices such as garlic.

Mix salt and lemon juice to remove mildew stains from around baseboards.

Salt will prevent weeds from growing in between the cracks of a sidewalk or a brick walkway if you sprinkle salt in the cracks.
